My brother and I dropped into Lot 1 for breakfast after an early morning run, on recommendation by a friend... What a perfect start to the day!!!
The cafe is close to the beach and beautifully set out and presented. The staff were warm and welcoming and made up feel extremely relaxed. Without delay my coffee was brought out, and my god was it good. The owner and his apprentice Sam are like coffee engineering gods. Lovely splash of latte art by the young man.
I decided to give the acai bowl a try, given the hype about it these days... I never imagined it would taste so good. Served with granola and fresh fruit, and a very decent portion size.
Tempted as I was by everything else on the menu, I had to race off but will definitely be returning. It was about 9am by this stage and the cafe was really starting to bustle. I couldn't help eyeballing everyone else's meals as they left the kitchen - it all looked so fresh, big portions (I exercise and eat a bit) and unbelievably well priced in my opinion. Most main items on the menu seemed to be about $12-14.
Conslusion: Excellent coffee, large meals and great tasting food, relaxed atmosphere and extremely friendly and attentive staff. Cheers!
Walked in to this place as it was just opposite to where we were staying. This place surprised us with Good service, Good Staff, Good coffee, Good selection of menu, Value for money..
I would come definitely come again if I am around this place and strongly recommend everyone to try this place đđđ
July2020. Rated 3.5.
Went here with partner for weekend brunch. No reservations needed. Ordered the coffee and Halia latte (their signature ginger latte). Coffee was smooth. The signature latte was unfortunately unremarkable; milky without much flavour.
For brunch, we ordered the Eggs Benedict and Peanut Butter French Toast. Eggs were well-poached. Meals were simple and done well. The classics.
Friendly and efficient service. Unassuming shop front street-side. Casual ambience with limited indoor and outdoor seating. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a standard brunch option.
I had the smoked salmon on sourdough which came with half an avocado, boiled egg, salad, tomato and feta. A really nice breakfast! The coffee was excellent!
Food was ok. Tied the beetroot late altho itâs not really a coffee, not too sweet as I thought it will be, which is good. The Egg Benedict was nice and simple, and serving was actually really fast.
Only thing was the service. No one cared that I sat down, so I had to walk to the counter to ask for a menu and order. The Benedict was literally chucked on the edge of the table in front of me, having 1/3 of the plate outside the table (see first photo, which was taken when the food first arrived). Lucky this is Surfers Paradise, everyone here are tourists, so people wonât care. If this was in Melbourne, it wouldâve earned a lot of complaints and might even be out of business in no time.
Then again, this is Surfers Paradise. Itâs still better than Fish & Chips or dodgy take always. Lol
Great breakfast, affordable and homely vibes! We ordered the big breakfast and the Angus eggs, it was so nice to have a low calorie option being the egg white scramble! The coffee was delicious too. Highly recommend!

Really good Aussie cafe with affordable price and the quality is awesome. Staff is super friendly because they keep asking about the food.
If you come at peak hour like 11:00am, you might have to wait because there are so many customers waiting!
Had a really good almond latte from Lot 1 today on my way to walk up the coast. Plenty of heat and a full flavoured extraction. Couldnât help notice the food others were eating while I waited for my take away. Looked so good I need to come in here and dine when we next visit Surfers.
A good coffee spot in Cavill Avenue. The coffee was refreshing and the wrap was good. A good place to chill out. Always busy in the morning. The only problem is no one can remember the order of each table so the waitress had to check every single table when she delivered the dish to customers. It would be nice to have a table number after the order is done. Otherwise, itâs a quite good place
Just amazing place for an early n heavy breakfast. Good taste good friendly staff decent ambience. Opens pretty early so can get done and start the gold coast adventudes
Good coffee, decent baked goods and accommodating staff. Extra marshmallows and no side eye for the 2x two-year-olds dining with us bumped them up half a point.
A nice cosy cafe located near surface paradise. Excellent service with a great price tag on all the breakfast items. I would suggest that you get in early because it gets filled up pretty fast.
BEST COFFEE IN SURFERS!
Cute little cafe with great food, friendly staff, comfortable indoor and outdoor seating & THE BEST COFFEE!
There is a corner shelf filled with some top reads too!
Great selection of menu items to suit all tastes including a vast selection of kids meals.
Generous servings - All day Breakfast and All day Lunch:
From Açai, muesli, fruit, pastries, French toast to all the egg options you could desire!
Open from 7:15am⌠Donât miss out.
Get your order in by 1:40pm as they shut shop and I presume hit the surf :)
HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking it out as soon as you can! You wonât want to go anywhere else for your morning fuel âď¸
Cute little cafe hidden around a corner. We came for breakfast. You order and pay at the counter. We had a Peanut butter French toast - banana, strawberries, caramelised peanut brittle.
Açai bowl - included pineapple which you donât often see.
Healthy start - scrambled eggs, toast, yoghurt with muesli. As the eggs sat, liquid formed around the bottom.
The wrap- bacon, fried egg, cheese, onion relish.
Quick service, great food and better coffee. I had the Breakfast wrap and a coffee as take away but there was plenty of seats when I went mid morning. Very friendly staff and easy to find. Will stop here again next time staying in Surfers.
The staff are kind, the coffee is very good, and the brunch menu is very good. The location is good, there are many things to enjoy around, and the sea is right in front of you, so it's good to drink coffee and go out. If I go to the Gold Coast next time, I'm going to visit again.
Chic decoration style đ Strongly recommend teriyaki chicken and any Turkish bread sandwich. Very warm and friendly stuffđĽ°
Iâve been to this place a few times recently. And it always delivers good friendly service, nice food and great coffee.
Tucked out of the way on Hanlan Street, in between Cavill Avenue and the Q1. Very handy.
Indoor and outdoor seating is pleasant. Nice atmosphere.
Will come back here again and try their other menu options
Eggs benedict was one of the best I have ever had honestly! Acai bowl was good too, coffee was alright, milk texture in the flat white was not quite right.
