Came here on a Wednesday night, looked fairly empty. However, great cocktails, very reasonably priced, interesting menu options, friendly and attentive

Everyone! Please order the 5 course tapas and you will not regret it! Salt and pepper calamari, sticky pork belly, arancini balls, braised beef cheeks and grilled halloumi are plenty fir two people. Food is fresh and well prepared. Service is fantastic. It’s definitely more of an elegant place than most of gold coast food places.
Didn't eat there but nice atmosphere with really friendly staff prepared to have a chat with you and offer what they have available... like I wasn't aware it was happy hour but was notified of specials available and happy to have a laugh .
Had an on-line deal for a dinner at this place. Actually, I have not been to the Watermark Hotel for over 15 years, it has changed a lots. Entered the door and approached the bar, there were already pack of people having their drinks and tapas. Due to the fact that half of the seating area has been booked for a function, the friendly staff invited us to sit in the Clifford's Grill & Lounge, indeed, they shared the same kitchen. Love the set-up of the lounge with all the inverted sewing machines hanging down from the ceiling and some old-style radio stuck on the wall. Besides that the grouts between the bricks on the wall is so handy for us to hang the umbella. Mixed of tapas and two cocktails were ready on our tables in a short period of time. Wow, they are spectacular. Hero is the Arancini which is the best I ever had. It is cruchy outside with soft cheesy rices inside, fantastic. Second tapa that I like is the Pork Belly, the chef did a very good job to nail it with nice caramelised skin and delicious sauces. The presentation of these tapa was so good that it attracted our next table ordered exactly the same even they have to pay full price.......
Love this place!!!. We visited Surfers Paradise from Melbourne for the weekend, stumbled across Walrus Social House and were so happy we did!
The tapas were absolutely amazing. We shared the breadboard (wonderful house made dips), the arancini balls (unbelievable) and the pork belly (best EVER!).
The venue has recently been refurbished and has a great laid back vibe, especially on a Sunday afternoon with some fab accoustic music.
The staff were so friendly and helpful too. Surfer's Paradise needs more restaurants/ bars like this, couldn't fault this place - it's a must visit!
Absolutely loved it! Amazing service (Sonia was our waitress) and such delicious food! Definitely will be recommending and coming again! Thank you :)
Crisp-shelled Arancini balls bursting with a core of melting mozzarella, lifted by the richness of truffle; fall apart Slow-cooked sticky pork glazed with kepak manis, garlic and just a hint of star anise, served with slivers of ginger, and fried chilli; al dente Lobster tortellini with Mooloolaba prawns and a cumin carrot purée; and Charred free range chicken with Memphis rub and sticky molasses, accompanied by sides of American slaw, grilled corn and crispy onion rings.
