Presentation of food here is better than 5 star restaurants.
Mumbai food at its best.
Loved it!!!!!!!
The best Indian food, extremely good service and a great homely atmosphere. We love this place. We have been here many times and the standard never drops. We shall keep bringing friends to this wonderful place.
Food was fantastic - service was good, curries had plenty of flavour and a perfect amount of kick to them.
Would recommend - definitely going back again.
Get the Vindaloo and the Railway Goat Curry
We didn’t make a booking and this place still had space for us on a Saturday night. Nice and convenient location in Glebe. One of the best places for vegan curry. The staff are super friendly and attentive. We had the not so chicken curry and eggplant curry- both were full of flavour and spices and well seasoned. The naan was slightly dry but that’s because I asked for it vegan and it had no butter to coat it.
Fantastically tasty good, plentiful and surprisingly cheap. Lovely helpful staff. Beautiful restaurant. We couldn't have had a better time. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing food, excellent service! The spoof was spicy and tasty while the service was warm and friendly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting Indian food in Sydney.
One of my favourite Indian restaurants of all time! I don't get to come here often enough, but every time is such a great experience. There are lots of dishes to choose from. Every curry is flavourful and the spicy dishes do not pull their punches! The meat must be slow cooked for days it is so tender. The servers are always friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and service. Reasonable price. I have been here a couple of times and already loved this place but my last visit I came on a 50% off Dimmi special which was an absolute ripper deal! Compared to other Indian restaurants, Bombay Street Kitchen has a much better atmosphere in a great location, less pricey (even if full price), and with a modern twist on the menu. We came on a quiet night but service is generally quick anyway. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come again.
We were off to Broadway to see a movie and had two hours to spare so decided to head down to Glebe Point Rd to grab some dinner. I had read some good reviews and saw some great foodie pics on instagram recently so decided to give Bombay Street Kitchen a go. The restaurant is located at the end of Glebe Point rd and Parramatta rd with indoor and outdoor seating. We started with lamb cutlets that were covered in a dark marinade of spices, lime juice, ginger and garlic that were tasty but a little dry. The other entrée we ordered was the Dahi Poori that were crispy semolina pockets stuffed with potatoes, puffed rice and tamarind chutney served with a mint chutney and yogurt, these were great crispy, light, flavoursome and a serving of six. We decided to order two mains with the first one being the Railway Goat Curry this was delicious and the goat was perfectly cooked so it was falling of the bone and it certainly packed a spicy punch. The final dish was the Komdich Saguti a traditional Goan chicken curry that wasn't as spicy as the goat but had well rounded flavours including chilli, star anise and black peppercorns. The chicken was quite generous and cooked well so it was still moist on the inside. We ended up having leftovers, so the owners were nice enough to give us a container so we could take the rest home with us.
So happy we came here the othrr week. Delicious food and lovely atmospheric and service.
Goat curry was a standout as was the samosa and yummy lamb skewers.
They had this mint sauce that is sort of like a raota but way more delicious. I had it on everything!
The staff were fantastic very attentive and the decorcwas really elegant.
I cant recommend this streetvfood enough. Is it street food? Dunno but tastes bloody good.
Absolutely adore the street seating with beautiful lights and fire lanterns to keep it warm.
It's not expensive opposite to what I thought. However, the quantity served it less. Which seems fair enough.
I tried the Pani Puri (which is a typical Bombay street food). It was quiet spicy than it is actually in Mumbai. But it was an experience.
Followed it by butter chicken and garlic naan. Both well done and tasty. Tandoori chicken though was less in quantity but absolutely tasty with mint sauce.
The streets of Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) are lively, energetic and colourful. Countless street vendors sell local, exotic and aromatic specialty foods. At the port the fresh catch arrives and soon becomes someone’s mouth-watering lunch or dinner. We have never been to Mumbai but this is where our imagination takes us when we visit Bombay Street Kitchen in Glebe on the outskirts of the city centre. Our superb host Manasi shared that her family settled in Nelson Bay on New South Wales’ north coast when she was 14 and opened a family restaurant there. Her father has been working in kitchens since the 1970s and is in charge of main dishes and curries in their Glebe venture while her mother looks after the street food and desserts. Other family members also help out in the restaurant – this is not only their livelihood but also a sign of their love for food.
