A nice Malay Chinese restaurant that’s known for their beautiful Laksa. I also like their other dishes such as Nasi Lemak and Char kway teow. Highly recommend Laksa. I give this place 4 bears
My go-to choice is the classic Chicken and Prawn Laksa ($12.7). The broth had a promisingly creamy appearance, its surface dappled with a slick of bright red chilli oil. Admittedly, this wasn’t as punchy as I had hoped; I’m not quite sure what’s missing, as the balance between the complex medley of spices and the sweet creaminess of the coconut milk was note-perfect, and the chicken was admirably tender. It was certainly a great bowl of noodles that I would be happy to have any day, though I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s my favourite like many people do.
Im so sorry for not really appealing photo since I am taking away. Trust me, I am from Asian and it has really great beef fried rice and Laksa there. Do not miss up if you are nearby, since I am taking away for quick dinner so its not that crowded. Maybe will be peak during lunch hour.
The har mee is amazing! Rich and tasty in flavour, and always quickly served. The hainan chicken rice is good too.
Try to avoid the peak hours, as it gets very hectic and crowded.

I have been coming to this place from long time and this is the best laksa place you can find in the Sydney.
We had the skinless chicken laksa and sing chao mai, the dishes came out super fast!
The laksa had a really nice deep flavoured broth without being overly oily or heavy, the chicken was very moist and soft to eat, I highly recommend extra tofu as the sponge texture absorbs the broth very well! The noodles were great, they are thin noodles but still keep their texture and don't get soggy.
The sing chao mai was full of wok hei flavour, it was very and I loved the savoury bean sprout flavour in it.
The complementary mandarins go down very well at the end of the meal.
The place was clean and the staff were all friendly, I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes!
The place that all Sydney laksa fiends know well. They’ve been serving great laksa here since I can remember. You line up, place your order, pay in cash (cash only), grab your laksa, buy a bib so it doesn’t splatter and sit at the counter or one of the tables and let the chili burn settle in. Can’t go wrong.
Finally some great laksa. The laksa had a very rich flavour in the broth (could still have been spicier and I hope that isn’t connected to the sign they put up complaining about chilli prices) and the ingredients seemed much better quality than I’ve been seeing in other recommended laksa places - like wonderfully tender chicken that soaked up the broth. Note I also got some takeaway rendang that turned out pretty bland so my review is on the basis on the laksa alone.
We all got laksas as this is their most famous dish. The food came out in 10 seconds and it was a big bowl. The broth is really nice! My favourite part is the tofu, it had fully absorbed the broth and was really delicious!
Loved it!
Popped into this place at 1pm today and it was very busy! Plenty of seating in the restaurant, however, during the lunch peak there was not a single seat in sight which was a promising sign of how good their food was going to be. I ordered a chicken laksa and it was ready for me shortly after paying for it at the counter. The laksa soup was coconut curry based and was very flavoursome and had the right amount of spice. My partner ordered a Mongolian Beef with rice and I did not enjoy this dish as much. I highly recommend if you come here to order a laksa! Only reason I did not rate this a 5 is due to the lack of chicken in the soup. Besides that it was spot on. Reasonably priced as well. Would definitely come back in the future.
Please note: This restaurant is cash only!
One of best Laksa restaurants.
Soup of Laksa is a full of creamy, heavy body, and coconut based curry flavor. Unfortunately, Laksa soup is not suitable for vegetarians as it is mixed with chicken-stock.
This restaurant is always crowded with a number of patrons. So it is good to remember that you may need to be waiting until tables will be available for your turn.
Definitely recommended!! 👍😋👍
I have never had a better Skinless Chicken Laksa, anywhere. The tofu is amazing and the broth is full and rich. The chicken is so tender it almost melts in your mouth. The service has been streamlined significantly and is very quick. A must for any visit to the centre of Sydney. I've been coming here for nearly 10yrs and the standard and quality of this Laksa has always been the highest.
The one thing better than having a Skinless Chicken Laksa for lunch by yourself, is to share the experience with family. The chilli is amazing and takes it too another dimension. The crowd just 10 minutes after opening is a very clear indication of how popular this venue is.
Probably the best option out there for a quick and great meal!
Lines were ridiculously long but they go by pretty quick (same with the laksa).
Ordered the skinless chicken and prawn laksa ($14 from my memory). Everything was great really - nothing to complain about. Only downside for me were the prawns really - frozen prawns which doesn’t impart much flavour at all. Pretty common really with any takeaway.
Very fast service 2mins. Lovely chicken laksa. Very creamy and nice to have on a rainy day. Not the best laksa I've ever had but definitely the best for it's price at only around $13!! The soup got a bit too oily and creamy towards the end to finish but the noodles were very nice and slightly chewy.
Ordered a Chicken + King Prawn Laksa for $16.50 (cash only).
Probably best Laksa in Sydney especially the broth. Incredible curry flavour with the right amount of coconut milk that I didn't really appreciate until I was done with all the noodles and toppings. The prawns were also very juicy but could be bigger.
Quite comparable to Flemington Laksa King in Melbourne but overall would rate Laksa King more because:
1. More ingredients like eggplant, fish cakes and juicier tofu. I also like the laksa leaves in Laksa King more.
2. You also get Hokkien noodles along with vermicelli - here it’s only vermicelli
3. Chicken thigh instead of breast
4. Can get other good dishes apart from Laksa
5. $1 cheaper and even cheaper if you use the Liven app
6. Restaurant is nicer, here they use plastic cutlery and bowls and there's no table service
Combining the broth here with the Laksa King toppings would be amazing.
Fast and convenient. Laksa soup was good, great flavour but very very oily.
0 vegetable in the chicken Laksa, I was expecting a minimum. I will try the veggie laksa next time then
Not the friendliest service but nothing crazy bad
Ok... here me out. The best Laksa in Sydney (so far), from the extremely succulent and tender chicken, perfect spicy soup base and wonderful assortment of flavours coupled with the wonderful thin vermicelli; a dangerously outstanding bowl of Laksa that has been unmatched for more than a decade. I'd be interested to try their other items on their menu, but it's hard to ignore how good their laksa is.
Blazing fast service as always and consistently delicious laksa every time. Can't go wrong here. Just note that they only accept cash and the seating indoors is limited if it gets busy.
The first time I was here, I ordered and pulled out my phone while I waited. I didn't expect my laksa to be ready in like 30 seconds and the staff may have gotten a little cross I was holding up the service haha. My bad.
