Long queues but worth the wait.
Their ramen and baos ❤️
It's all about the broth
Familiar with Ippudo from NYC and in need of a ramen fix I decided to drop into Westfield Ippudo for lunch. I had the Karaka-Men which was its usual delicious self and a tasty Yuzu highball and some water to go with.
It took a while to get someone to take my order but once that happened everything moved along. The decor is kind of industrial modern Asian if that makes any sense. One note for those visiting is that you pay by going back up to the entrance when you are done - the wait staff doesn't give you a bill.
When I have a craving for Ramen, it’s Ippudo without fail. Worth the wait and love, love their prawn buns. #ippudo
Very good customer service and food came out quick. Wait is not too long on a tuesday night. We got a ramen each and popcorn octopus to share
The noodles were chewy and aldente, just how i like it. Broth is rich but not too salty and the egg was very delicious.
The drinks list is very extensive.
The chashu was a bit fragile, almost lost my piece midway.
The price, however, didnt justify the portion. The price was higher than average, but i wasnt completely full, also thought the ramen would come with bamboo shoots and nori, like others with similar price points, but they are add ons, and would be too expensive.
There are a few Ippudo restaurants in Sydney but the one in 'Westfield Sydney' is the best. It's interesting how it's the same restaurant, but you don't get the same quality. Ippudo Westfield is the leader of the pack. I give this place 5 bears.
There's no doubt in my mind that Ippudo is one of the world's most consistent incredible ramen experiences one can have.
No matter which outlet I have ramen at — Sydney, Melbourne, Thailand, Singapore — they're all great and taste almost identical, in the best way.
I got the limited offer Kuro ramen with the black pepper and garlic oil and man, was that satisfying. Super unctuous, rich, velvety, and utterly delicious. I will be back for the hundredth time next time I'm craving ramen.
Ippudo Kuro: 9.5/10
The food was just awesome ! Just the iced tea that my friend had ordered was not an over tea actually, it tasted like iced water..
The food was great but service was a bit unfriendly towards my group upon arrival.
Great service and as usual excellent Ramen. The Spicy Goma is an excellent starter if you like spicy flavours. The Tori Shoyu is a chicken broth Ramen and goes well with the hard noodles.
My last review not publish here because too few words so I add more. I like this place for the ramen, especially in the tonkotsu broth. This is so delicious, especially if you add extra pork belly chasu. The set lunch is good value. My favourite is Set Lunch A with the Gyoza. This is not too oily and has nice crispy skin. Have to queue if you come lunch or dinner time but it is worth it!
