Phenomenal food and service, great value and presentation. (I think I may be buying these dishes for my new place!) The seawood tofu slices in my noodle dish were like savoury vegan sausage, and every dish is garnished like little jewels. Intimate patio dining in the evening, and there is a steady stream of delivery people leaving with bags of deliciousness throughout the night. Fun people watching on this quiet nook in the Darlinghurst neighbourhood. There are lots of wonderful Thai places in SYD, but this is my 'Karma' favourite. Try some ginger lemon tea or BYO!
Love this place! Delicious food even better service! The owners are the nicest people you will meet! Best Roti we've ever had! 5 star menu! Would definitely go back again! Would recommend to anyone who loves vegan food! #veganfoodheaven
Kindness Cafe has been on my list of veg restaurants to try for a while now and it did not disappoint! I decided to try the fried tofu as an entree and a massaman curry for the main. Both were flavoursome and delicious! I absolutely loved the seaweed wrapped tofu in the massaman curry - I was skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised as to how tasty it was. The restaurant staff all go out of their way to make sure your experience is enjoyable. I will definitely be back.
me and my omnivore boyfriend came here for our last dinner in Sydney, safe to say you guys absolutely blew our minds. we ordered the the corn fritters and roti bread, which were both amazing, the taste and texture went so well together that my boyfriend who usually dislikes veg food said that was probably the best roti bread he has ever had. We then had the green curry and mushroom salad, and he said that the seaweed tofu in the curry tasted like real chicken and wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. The mushroom salad was so fresh and the flavour was absolutely beautiful, with a different array of mushrooms and literally tasted like a party in our mouths!
The service was also the highlight of this place, everyone including the waitresses and the chefs always put on a bright smile that added to the happy vibes in this place. We love the concept at this restaurant and will be letting all of our Melbourne friends know about this place and tell them that they must come and visit when they go to Sydney!
only thing we wished is that you guys gave bigger portion size for the roti bread because it was absolutely amazing and we couldn't get enough!(however the serving size was fine we just have big appetites haha)
The serves were generous, we had the Thai garden and a delicious curry recommended by the staff, they were super friendly. Thank you so much
Great food! Super tasty, had the tofu with peanut sauce - oh my the sauce was incredible! Also had the Pad see Eww and woooow that was super yummy! However I only give 4 stars not 5 because the service was quite slow (friendly don’t get me wrong) but slow! Food took too long, but lucky me and my husband weren’t in a hurry!
This place is kind of small and there's not a lot of seating available. The food however is great and so are the staff, they are so friendly.
Food is just delicious!
Every dish is really well presented and you can tell it's been prepared with care.
Serves are generous and there's a wide range of options to choose.
Very nice and friendly staff.
Such a delicious and fresh restaurant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated next to other restaurants in a large courtyard which created a beautiful atmosphere.
The starters are cheap and really tasty the tom yum soup is full of flavour and is perfect without meat.
The corn fritters are not amazing but are nice for the price
I adore this place! Second time here and once again, the service is top-notch! The staff are super polite, always smiling and offered boxes for my friend and myself for our bags. The water was quick to come and had little lemon slices in it.
Kindness Cafe was empty amongst the other restaurants on the block when my friend and I arrived, but it quickly became full. However, it never felt like we were burdens or that we were being hurried along. The menu is extensive and mostly all vegetarian/vegan. I love that there are so many vegetables offered with the dishes.
My favourite restaurant ! The freshest, healthiest and wholesome ingredients and every meal bursts with flavour!! such great value for money & beautiful, friendly team who just want to provide the customer with an honest, healthy & good quality meal!
One of the Best Thai in town.. love the ambience and great service too! ....You have to try the curry puffs, fried tofu and the banana Roti!
It is one of the best vegan restaurants in Sydney. They have a very simple usual Thai menu; however, each dish is burst of flavour. The curries are so good and fresh. A must try. Feels like a family owned business, and all of them are very lovely, always happy to get you anything. They also have a small instant curry for cooking at home. We bought the massaman curry and very excited to try it at home.
Kindess Vegan are about aligning their morals and beliefs with the food they serve. Asian food done deliciously and all without the use of animal products.
Serving sizes were generous, everything tasted fresh and it was full of so much flavour!
Now I know burgers aren’t exactly Asian cuisine, but I am so glad this item was on the menu. The Summer Burger. This had crumbed vegan prawns, grilled pineapple and a homemade vegan seafood sauce. I can’t believe how incredible this was. The look, the texture and the taste of the ‘prawn’ was spot on. Paired perfectly with the pineapple and definitely gave off a summer vibe!
If you’re a fan of mushrooms, the Too MuchRoom is one to order. Fried enoki and king oyster mushrooms, coated with Thai seasoning, roasted sesame & shallots and served with a maple yuzu sauce. Crispy and delicious!
Moving onto the main dishes, we ordered the Malaysian Laksa, Eggplant Kabayaki with Fried Soft Tofu and Japanese Katsu Don.
The laksa was so fragrant and rich in flavour. It had a little kick to it which I loved. Noodles were cooked perfectly and overall, an absolutely delicious soup!
The Eggplant Kabayaki is a vegan version of the classic Unagi Don. The marinated eggplant was grilled beautifully and I loved the addition of the glazed tofu too.
The Katsu Don was made with a vegan pork cutlet which was super crispy on the outside. I honestly forgot this was vegan for a second! No surprise, they nailed this dish too
Whether you’re a vegan or just looking to switch it up every now and then, this is a place to visit!
good food! super friendly staff💋
this is a vegan restaurant! i feel sooooo healthyyyy
love the pineapple friedrice!
the restaurant very organize, they even give us basket to put bags and water for our dogggo✨
such an amazing place to chitchat with friends!
Great tasty vegan food. So yummy. So great to be know all the options are vegan. It’s just hard to decide which one, but the photos and accompanying item numbers helps a lot! I hope the kindness cafe will become THE vegan cafe in Sydney in the future!

I couldn’t believe just how creative all the vegan dishes were presented and how delicious they tasted! Totally blown away by the creativity and sheer talent of the staff to produce this gorgeous menu!
Lovely place! Great food and service. I don't really like the location but I suppose we can't have it all! LOL!!! (Picture of eggplant don bowl.)
Usually people only leave reviews when they’ve had a negative experience but I can’t even express how lovely my experience was here. So accommodating to all of our requests without any sense of rudeness. Genuinely living up to the name of kindness. The food was very affordable and worth every cent. Even though it was busy they were able to still meet every need of our table. An absolute breath of fresh air with this service.
