Friday afternoon late lunch and drinks with work team to celebrate the end of the year.
Good solid atmosphere, but music was a bit on the loud side, which then compounded people talking louder and it slowly got louder as the afternoon went on.
Food wise, quick service, and the daily special was a charred corn with jalepeno and mozzarella chicken parmi for $20 including sides. Good sized portion for the price, cooked well and the chicken was juicy inside, crisp outside, very solid.
I had put down a $50 for drinks for the team to celebrate our year, and we got 7 drinks + $5 change out of it, so even the drink prices were quite reasonable for what we got and the location.
Would probably come again for a bit of a brew, and hang, and what other meal specials might be on.
My absolute favourite place during my visit to Sydney. It’s priced well and the food is amazing. They have a wide variety of options and their daily specials are well priced and extremely filling. Don’t miss the chicken Schnitzel with cheese
Bad service when asking for things such as a second plate to share meals or mayo/sauces
Called in here on a Sunday for early pre-dinner drinks. Had not been here for 50 years - memories of a year spent in Sydney. Great young crowd on the verandah overlooking the Coca Cola sign who had enjoyed the live music that unfortunately finished not long after we arrived. Staff were friendly and attentive and prices of drinks no different to what you would pay in any pub.
First time in this place and I loved it. The music was amazing and the way they have separated the pub and the rooftop bar is just mind blowing. The cocktails were great and what else do you need on a weekend.

Great location, less then 50m from the Kings Cross train station, has an amazing atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the food & drinks are reasonably priced. My meal arrived promptly in about 7 minutes and was of a really high quality. Would recommend.
A nice enough place for Friday after-work drinks with mates. It was buzzy enough but not overcrowded. Service is friendly. Drinks are reasonably priced. The balcony, upstairs, with a bit of a view to the surrounds of Kings Cross, is cool. I'd bring an out-of-towner here.
Good food and affordable drinks. I had a Chicken Schnitzel burger and it was delicious with a side salad. I would definitely go back with workmates for a midday feed.
As the cross seems to be falling apart, the Kings Cross Hotel has been stepping up it's game to draw people in. I've been going there on and off over the past ten years but recently have noticed a change in the vibe there. The customer service is excellent and not just by one or two of the staff but the lot. The employees seem to really enjoy being there (good job management!) and that flows on to the service. Drinks are reasonably priced with some really good beers and ciders on tap and the food is also quite good. It's certainly a worthy choice for lunch or dinner.
Sir And Mlady Dine Out

Mlady had a craving for fish ‘n chips and after searching on where to go we decided to venture to the Kings Cross Hotel. First impression of the hotel, which is situated in the heart of Sydney’s red-light-and-dancefloor district – gorgeous! It is a 6 storey building, from the rooftop down to a subterranean dive bar and the whole place has an ambience of a mix of modern and nostalgia.
