We visited this place for a Lebanese style yum cha lunch. The highlights for me were the larger dishes designed to share such as the noodles, crispy chicken and shallot pancake. The dishes were overall quite creative and the entrees were alright but I guess I prefer the Chinese style prawn toasts and dumplings. Overall, good restaurant with tasty dishes.

Most of the menu seems like Lebanese fusion but I liked that you could just get some fried or grilled chicken and expect it to be great.  The LFC wasn't very crispy but had some great flavour and spice in the batter and in the chicken - didn't really need the sauce that came with it.  The grilled chicken was tasty and tender (just like the chicken I had in Jordan, don't know about Lebanon) and came with ample pickles and bread.  Unfortunately, the toum garlic sauce costs extra and is pretty much compulsory because it's so good, otherwise the prices seem alright for the quality and quantity.

Keep thinking about this meal. Genuinely one of the best things I’ve eaten in the last few years. Every dish we ate was incredible. 5 stars!!

We came here for our friends birthdays and as a large group of 11 we ordered the bottomless brunch menu. My favourite dishes in the set menu was their hummus and the Lebanese fried chicken. The chicken came out on share plates, but worked out 1x piece of chicken each. It was so good 1x piece was not enough to satisfy me.

The team were very helpful with our dietary requirements. As such a large group we had a few allergies and diary intolerant. They offered us alternatives to those individuals and was very nice to see as not many places offer.

There was also the option of bottomless booze ($36pp) or soft drink ($18pp). The good thing about this was any individual could order a drink package, the entire table didn't have to order it as a whole.

Many of y’all know that Julian Cincotta is the genius behind the food at Butter Surry Hills and Parramatta. But. did you guys know that he is also Thievery’s executive chef? Thievery is a. modern interpretation and accumulation of Middle Eastern cuisine and a dash of. some Mediterranean flavours. You can also see influences of Julian’s time in

Wow! This place is amazing!! It’s is Lebanese food with a twist (not a bad twist!). We were sat down stairs which has a dark buzzy atmosphere. We were greeted by a lovely attentive and informative waitress.

We got four dishes which was enough for the two of us. All the dishes were phenomenal, despite some of the ingredients being similar they were all delicious and individual in the textures and flavours. My favourite dish was the roast broccoli and my husbands was the baba ganoush.

It is quite pricey but certainly worth it for the food and atmosphere.

Really loved this restaurant’s flavours. The consensus around the table was that the Standout was the baba ghanoush actually over the hummus for us! (Dined last Sep 2017)

Does My Bomb Look Big In This

Slotting into a building that looks like it should be condemned, and cleverly making a feature of it, Thievery has a renegade aesthetic. Climbing the rickety staircase up from the packed bar level, you’ll find a likeable room with Arabic graffiti along one wall and magenta light streaming through designer-bombed out holes in the ceiling. This imagery cheekily summons the images of West Asia constantly bombarded onto our television screens. At the same time, the modern, pan-Arabic menu speaks to cultural borrowing and the porous nature of global cuisine. Despite the full restaurant, things get underway very quickly. Friendly wait staff steer us away from hummus and into Baba Ganoush ($14). Here the creamy, smoky eggplant dip is dabbed with sheep’s milk yoghurt, dotted with pine nuts and drizzled with burnt butter, giving it smoky, nutty appeal on flatbread. Dining with a vegetarian, our meal is...

I thought the dips here were just to die for. We had a large group and took up practically the whole upstairs area, and hence why service was understandably probably a bit too slow. The baba ganoush and hummus was so good, we asked for more bread. The mushrooms were tasty, and the Lebanese fried chicken had us wanting more but the portions were too small. We were expecting lamb cutlets to share, but we each got our own plate, so everyone was happy with that. Would definitely return and probably better in smaller groups.

This place takes your usual dips and share plates to another level. Firstly the portion sizes are actually designed for sharing, and you may even be able to take some home! Secondly the unique flavours they add to traditional plates is next level. If you haven’t been there in a while they have removed the high tables and stools downstairs which makes for a much more comfortable experience. Greats spot for a small group but better for dates or one on one catch ups!

Was in Sydney for 3 days and tried their brunch feast. It was easily the best meal I've had during my trip. The hummus with burnt butter was awesome, the raw yellow fin tuna dish was light and refreshing, even the raw beef dish was nice and goes really well with their warm Lebanese bread. My only complaint was that the portion for their Lebanese Fried Chicken was so small, I mean two strips for two people??? It was great with the black garlic sauce I could eat 6 on my own. The portion of the rest of their dishes were fine I just think two chunks of chicken is a bit disappointing.

Came here for the Mediterranean Yum Cha and was not disappointed! The flavours were interestingly delicious, and there was fun, yet balanced textures throughout the degustation. Cocktails were delicious and pretty potent. Service was amazing and the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable. Ambience of the place was cool. Definitely coming back to try their usual menu!

Another restaurant, another perfect scored. I hadn’t heard much about this place actually. Not sure why. It deserves to be far more we’ll known. The food was absolutely incredible all while being incredibly well priced. Alright, alright.. seems strange, but get the burnt butter hummus. Bruh *drool*. Also, who doesn’t love some LFC.

For a restaurant to absolutely nail a vegetarian banquet - you know you’re onto something good! Moreover, I’m not even vegetarian but was still in love with the dishes presented. Friendly service and cool setting, decent prices as well delicious wine - will definitely come back!

We walked past this place by chance and decided to go in because it looked busy. The food was fantastic. Baba ganoush was next level! And the LFC (Lebanese Fried Chicken) was quite possibly the best chicken I've ever had. Ended with the fig cheesecake. Superb! And to top it off our waitress was down to earth and made sure we had a great night. Definitely recommended.

Went to try the brunch menu with mates - was delicious. Not the standard Nutella pancakes and eggs Benny if that's what you were hoping for but this delicious injection of middle eastern flavours into breakfast.

Awesome food and service that is out of this world. Great gluten free options and even ensures the banquet was serviced quickly as we had a concert to attend. Highly rated!!!
