Bistecca Alla Fiorentina ($78, 600g), cooked over a roaring flame of ironbark and charcoal, then sliced and dressed with beef drippings, sea salt, and freshly cracked black pepper. And it is pure joy, each slice cooked to succulent medium-rare, seasoned generously, and edged with a smoky char. Being a low-marbling T-bone steak, it doesn’t have the same buttery texture as wagyu, but is instead characterised by a more robust meatiness, and is every bit as delicious.
Loved the place! Such a beautiful ambiance and vibe. It was a cold and rainy day, we were just near the fire. And the food was amazing! Loved it!
I wish I had my phone to show you the food, but I guess that's why you'll have to go experience it for yourself.
Once seated, the waiter took all our phones and put it away for us. I can't remember the last time I sat almost 3hours without touching my phone and just enjoy my company, the food and the surroundings.
Our waitress advised that's it's normal to order around 2-300g of steak per person, so for a table of 3 girls we just rounded it up and asked for 1kg. They come to your table showing the kg cut and then we wait. The steak takes around half hr to cook so we ordered some sides.
Their prosciutto is honestly the best I've ever had. So flavourful, not too salty, we contemplated on ordering more but held back so we could finish our steak.
When the steak came out, the waitress explains the parts and which to eat first. So juicy, nice char, cooked just well, honestly perfect.
Definitely worth try make a booking now since you don't have to have minimum 6 people.
Its the best dining experience I've had in a long time.
