Had a quick breakfast here with a rhubarb Danish and flat white. The Danish pastry was crunchy filling tasty. Liked it! Love how it's conveniently located near the train station. There are so many tempting baked goods here!
You walk into this place and you can smell all the delicious baked goods from the various breads to the cakes and sausage rolls and pies. Plus the beautiful aroma of coffee.
I go here regularly but today was to try the orange cream cheese chocolate brownie that I heard so much about. I got the last one and it was delicious. Very chocolatey and the orange favour was nice and subtle and not to overpowering.
Cute little bakery, small amount of inside seating. Similar food to Burke Street Bakery, which I love. Great Sausage Rolls & the Lemon Pillows are simply scrumptious.
I ate the Beef & Black bean sausage roll at my desk & the smell bought half the office over asking where I got it!
The best bakery in sydney no doubt the pies sausage rolls pastys everything is done perfect!
I deliver here as a job an everytime i walk in the smell gets me such beautiful pastries and sandwiches.
Owner is great, but we are talking about food not owners.
The food is the devine anf will always be my NO.1 bakery.
Very good bakery with a very tasty cottage pie and sausage roll. Always wanted a Bourke street bakery in the city but this place would definitely give it a run for its money. They also do the pork and fennel sausage roll and it is beautiful.
Absolutely love this place! They bring in the breads and baked goods from the other Bourke Street Bakery stores. It is the best of both worlds as you get their top quality goods with the convenience of the city location.
I had visited this place a few times but since my office is further away from it now I haven't visited for a while and decided to check it out. They have nice store with inviting cabinets. Service is friendly and quick too.
They sell a range of breads, sausage rolls, pies, quiches, tarts, cakes, and salads. They also do catering as well. There are so many yummy items it can be overwhelming to decide what you want. I chose a selection of items including a Depot Sourdough Bread (long) 🍞, Lamb, Harissa And Almond Sausage Roll, Roasted Pear And Chocolate Frangipane Tart, and Poached Fig And Barberry Tart. You can't really go wrong with anything really.
CBD offers a daily meat and vegetarian salad for lunch, on top of their sandwiches and pies. The vegetarian salad was a combination of mixed leaves, olives, roasted sweet potatoes and herbed ricotta. Balsamic dressing and a sprinkling of walnuts on top completed the dish. It was also served with a comically oversized chunk of savoury bread. Had a crumbly rhubarb tart to end the meal.

Perfect for an early breakfast as they open their doors at 7am. As other reviewers have noted, the coffee isn't fantastic but still drinkable. I had the gorgeous rustic fruit toast which came with a generous slab of butter. A reasonably priced serving at $3.50 for 2 slices.
love the pork and fennel rolls here, best sausage rolls in all of Sydney. The cakes are also pretty good, love the cheesecake and the chocolate one but the coffee isn't that great (not bad just that there are better options out there). fan of the pies as well but only when it straight fresh out of the oven.
Heard about this place from colleague years ago but just got a chance to try them out very recently. Their menu is very very similar to Bourke St for some reason.
First time I went their I bought a sourdough loaf and it was really good. The crust was just crisp enough and you can actually chew fresh bread without hurting your mouth unlike bread from Bourke St. Also unlike other artisan bakery they can slice the bread for you!
Their beef pie however, was incomparable to Bourke St pies. The pastry was crumby but floury and rather thick. Filling was bland and dry.
Coffee was OK but there are plenty of good coffee around CBD, at least on the weekday.
Oh they do open on Saturday! This make them the best option if you want a quick and nice breakfast + coffee if you need to be in CBD on Saturday morning like I do right now...
Cannot remember how many times have I visited this place during me 3 months work on Kent st.
Constantly went there for pastry.when I found it is hard to decide what to get and my trick was to grab whatever just came out of the oven.
The lamb sausage roll changed my view of the sausage rolls and became my priority choice for a budget lunch. It only cost 4.5 bucks and so filling.
Love their French pastries. Definitely one of the things I missed the most when I work from home instead of in the city. Before they open, there's already a queue lining outside. Must try their Paris Brest ❤️ Favourite!!
A small bakery in one of the laneways on George st. It was quite an experience just looking through their big glass doors and seeing the chefs making the sweets fresh in front of our eyes. I ordered the cream choux with caramel and a chocolate tart. I really liked the choux as it wasn’t sweet at all and the crunchy caramel slice made it extra special. They also have tarts and croissants and cakes in store so will be back to try it next time. A lovely experience!
When you push the door and walk into this little bakery tucked away from main street, you're immediately immersed into centre of a bakers' office experience where the magic happens. You can smell, feel, and see the entire kitchen and experience the buzzing feeling being a baker. I like the design of how they just have one small corner for cashier and the rest of the shop is work area. This really puts you into the perspective of appreciating every creation the bakers make.
Now the pastries, divine! The chocolate crossaint is so crispy it melts if that even makes sense (have to try to believe that makes sense). The chocolate was light enough it didn't steal the flavour of the pastry. Will have to try their infamous brownies one day (before they sell out).
Just Look at the line during lunch
