Ok so I really enjoyed their specialty cake. 5+ as I thought the cream strawberry was refreshing with the layer of meringue and caramalised sugar. However my husband found it a little to sweet for his liking. If you’re a sweet tooth like me, lorraine’s would be a 100% guaranteed satisfaction 😋 ps: purchased the cake oct 2019! #throwback

Tried the coconut mascarpone cake and it was really fresh. They have a lot of varieties to choose from.A bit over priced compared to other cake shops but the taste makes up for it.

Toffee vanilla choux pastry, Paris Brest (hazelnut cream) and pearidiso (?). The choux pastry and Paris brest were both absolutely delightful. Perfect sweetness level, beautiful to look at and great textural components with cream, dough and toffee caramel flavours. I personally didn’t like the yellow one as much with its chocolate coating and lemon cream filling as it lacked a wow factor for me.

This patisserie, tucked away in the CBD, looks fantastic, and the reviews (many of them) are so good, I’ll have to come back to try some of their cake. It is charming to watch the industry of the open kitchen, and the cakes they had on display were so very pretty. I just grabbed a croissant, and had high hopes for it, but … it … was … just a croissant. Not terrible, but not a standout. Obviously, I should come back to try other treats.

Absolutely love this little cake shop! My favourite cheesecake. I've loved everything I've tried here. You just can't go wrong! If only there were seats here.

An uncle from the US visits and is keen to try hidden local food gems. This just happens to coincide with your cravings for the best cheesecake Sydney has to offer. But the store has been closed till today, and he's flying back to the US tonight and you're busy during the day. So what do you do?

You spend the week leading up to today hyping the cheesecake, even visiting the shop with him while it's closed for the New Year holidays, so that, subconsciously, he's been primed to visit today.

All goes according to plan. While you're out with your brother and his friend, your uncle sends you a text saying, "SOS: help needed to share 2 pieces of NY style C-cake". You say thank you and have a good flight and give a silent cheer. Later on, you're joined by another couple and you all have KBBQ. You kind of sit on the side, preoccupying yourself with cooking and service rather than conversation.
A trip to Oliver Brown later and you're at home.

You pull the cake out of the fridge, place it on a little saucer, and go to town on that fluffy, zesty cheesecake. It's more delicious than you remembered. So delicious that you feel compelled to leave a 5-star review for Lorraine's Patisserie midway.

Once you're done, you return to what you were doing before - eating the cake, listening to "Shake it Out" by Florence + The Machine, and reflecting on how often you are the third (or 5th) wheel. But you don't cry because you're not sad.
You just keep eating that delicious cake.

I can never go wrong with Lorraine's. You can literally smell the freshly basked tarts, cakes and goods when walking own George Street, finding the little open kitchen hidden in Palings Lane.

Everytime I go I must get the following two; their New York cheesecake and the Paris Brest. Their cheesecake is honestly so light and fluffy, it literally melts in your mouth. It's not too sweet, where there's hints of lemon and ginger from the cookie base. Whereas, the Paris Brest is made from their amazing choux pastry filled with the most amazing hazelnut cream. You honestly need to try it for yourself!

Their most popular mascarpone cake tasted amazing! The lightened mascarpone cheese layered with crisp coconut along with strawberries, this combination is a magic. But still, only take away...

Love this little patisserie. The hit is of course their strawberry lychee cake but I also love the chocolate cloud cake, kalamansi & rhubarb pie. I have heard a lot about their NY cheesecake so tried it on my latest visit. It was the lightest and fluffiest NY cheesecake I have had with a very distinct lemon flavour and ginger crumbed base. It was enjoyable but not a traditional NY cheesecake. Service is efficient & robotic.

Beautiful cakes by Lorraines Patisserie! Number 1 go to place for getting a slice (or whole cake) for someone special. The flavours are just amazing. You'll know once you try for yourself!

Love their French pastries. Definitely one of the things I missed the most when I work from home instead of in the city. Before they open, there's already a queue lining outside. Must try their Paris Brest ❤️ Favourite!!

A small bakery in one of the laneways on George st. It was quite an experience just looking through their big glass doors and seeing the chefs making the sweets fresh in front of our eyes. I ordered the cream choux with caramel and a chocolate tart. I really liked the choux as it wasn’t sweet at all and the crunchy caramel slice made it extra special. They also have tarts and croissants and cakes in store so will be back to try it next time. A lovely experience!

When you push the door and walk into this little bakery tucked away from main street, you're immediately immersed into centre of a bakers' office experience where the magic happens. You can smell, feel, and see the entire kitchen and experience the buzzing feeling being a baker. I like the design of how they just have one small corner for cashier and the rest of the shop is work area. This really puts you into the perspective of appreciating every creation the bakers make. Now the pastries, divine! The chocolate crossaint is so crispy it melts if that even makes sense (have to try to believe that makes sense). The chocolate was light enough it didn't steal the flavour of the pastry. Will have to try their infamous brownies one day (before they sell out). Just Look at the line during lunch
