Food taste is good, the green curry / seasoning is almost same like one of indonesian seasoning ✌🏻❤️
Surprisingly decent food for a pub! I'd say a better feed than other pubs in pyrmont. My favourite dishes were the hummus dip which came with crispy chickpeas and pomegranates on top, and the calamari/squid which was melt in the mouth. The cauliflower bhaji was a bit of a let down, it was still tasty and all but it was just a whole piece of cauliflower deep fried. Tacos were decent.
Nice location to enjoy an early Sunday dinner. I had the pork roast which came with a decent serve of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding with crackling, gravy and apple sauce. The kid's burger was a bit of a letdown with a measly meat patty. Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.
This is the favourite of the Pyrmont pubs. Corner location tucked away amongst the residents with staircase everywhere, plenty of high bench seating and history on the walls. Encouragement at the bar also with some drinks specials to tempt you not to move on. We did, but not to somewhere with more character. As ever - keep Sydney open and support our heritage.
We live just near here and often go for a meal when we do not feel like cooking. For the price (average $25) the food is generally very good quality for a pub meal although sometimes I feel they try abit to hard to be fancy if that makes sense and they would be better to keep the presentation more simple. I love their fish of the day and also the pork cutlet special when on. Very nice atmosphere too in the back room where meals are served.

The Point Hotel's beef burger was not the best burger I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. It could basically be described as your "everyday, run-of-the-mill pub burger". So what was good about it? Well, I love a pickle on a hamburger and this one did not skimp on the pickle. I also enjoyed the combination of both raw red onion and the caramelised brown onion. Nice. The Jarlsberg was also fresh and tasty too....it's always good to see decent cheese on a burger instead of the poor old kraft singles you get a lot of the time. The burger did have some drawbacks to it though. Namely, the bun. What should have been a badass damper roll, this burger was housed in a tough, low-grade bakery bun which made it hard to get through at
Out the back they have a cafe so we decided to grab a coffee. Bad bad coffee. I know you don’t normally go to a pub for a coffee but it shouldn’t be as bad as it was here.
This is a really favourite local. Friendly staff and the share plates are great with a beer. The rest of the menu needs freshening up to a higher standard.
Good specials and ambience. My boyfriend and I dined here a few months ago in June and tried the mussels and the tbone steak. It was my first experience having mussels and they were so fresh! They even included a liter of some kind of wheat beer and we couldn't stop dipping the crusty bread in the delicious mediterranean sauce at the bottom of the pot. The steak was ok although my boyfriend really liked it and it was served with buttery mashed potatoes and crisp green beans.
Great Place!. I come here all the time... one of my favourite places to eat! Food is delicious and when the sun's out the courtyard is lovely. And the comfy lounge area with a fire is a great place to hide when it's not...I can't stay away!!!! The prawn linguini is amazing!!!
Great suprisingly large pub just up from the water, with absolutely brilliant food and a wide selection of rooms and open areas to dine.
LOCATION: Minutes from the light rail or bus stops and just around the corner from Start City Casino. Street parking available.
ACCESSIBILITY: Pram, wheelchair and dog friendly.
FOOD: Really high quality decent serving sizes at very reasonable prices. Everything they served up looked/tastes great, even their humble pie!
STAFF: Definitely not the most attentive or passionate about their jobs. Not terrible, pleasant enough.
OVERALL: Will definitely be back to eat more, can't wait till the renovations upstairs are finished. Great little spaces upstairs, would easily suit events etc.
The food was fantastic we only had a couple of burgers and some beers. But the staff were great and the food service was so quick. This can be a bit of a worry, but one bite and you were no longer worried. Just in awe of how tasty the food was would recommend popping in for a bite if you are in the area.
Can't wait for the refurb to be completed, so we can get back and enjoy this great establishment. The food is great, the atmosphere awesome, the staff super friendly, and the location perfect.
Friends have been telling me that the re opening is close, and we just can't wait.
Other pubs/restaurants in the area are good, but this is our favourite, and now our nights out in Sydney are ready to go to the next level
See you soon.
Always a great choice on the menu and reasonable prices. Ambience perfect upstairs in the lounge dinning area. Even though the restaurant and kitchen undergoing renovations, the quality of the food is perfect. One of the best pub foods anywhere in Sydney.
Extraordinarily quiet for a Sunday. Pleasant surroundings, friendly staff and tasty food (apart from the very dry duck bao buns - duck and buns).
Lovely place to catch-up with friends and while away a few hours.
Prices are about right.
