You can find street food from all over east Asia. The inside is designed like street setting. Order came really fast. @Xihuahua š¶ had chicken laksa and i had chicken cha kui teow or whatever that was... The laksa is on the plain side, chicken is tough. The toew is covered in delished meegoreng sauce and the veg is crisp! Very tasty dish! Still tough chicken tough. Chilli squid is okie, interesting spicy batter but too thick. The portion here is small.
Have you met Nutty? š¤
Yes, Iām sure that was pretty much what many thought when they saw that PāNut with only 6 years old started making noodles and salads.
Hello chef alert?
Yes, PāNut is the founder of Pānut Street Noodles and he started working with his grandmother in one of the most popular street side stalls in Bangkok, grinding chilli paste and learning how to make sauces from scratch from that early age. And guess what? His dedication has gone from just a little stall to a complete chain of massive healthy and unforgettable street style noodles!
He has spent time perfecting the true Thailand flavours so that everyone that dine in (or does take away!) in one of his venues located either in NSW or QLD, feel like they actually are locals eating in not only in Thailand but also Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and even Japanese and Korea!
And as many Thai dishes, most of their meals can made vegan! And guys they have the BEST spring rolls, 100% vegan!
No flights until 2021? Well, itās sad, no doubt but, I think that when it comes to Thailand we can pretty much take a private trip here šš
I had initially thought about visiting their location in QLD but since I was visiting Sydney and it was such a chilled weather, I thought, why not warm my soul with some noodles? And what a great call indeed!
Their menu is quite extensive and I love the fact that every Monday to Friday, they offer meal deals from $9.95, including free bottled water and from 5 tasty dishes to choose from, which is obviously important for students and people with a more tight budget but still wanting a filling and wholesome meal but they also have special deals at multiple times! Plus, they have recently launched their PāLite menu is high in flavour and low in calories with 4 dishes under 400 calories, with extra vegetables that you can choose from!
I visited the location at East Village Shopping Centre, in Zetland but they have different stores across Sydney and some right in the CBD.
Hereās what I tried form their menu:
- Pad Thai - the one and only Thailandās favourite dish with tamarind based sauce and slowly simmered tossed with home-style rice noodles. I must say firstly that the sizes and the portions of the meals are absolutely incredible and that they don't look oily or greasy like some more Thai based fried foods might be. The sauces blended extremely well and the amount of ingredients were ideal for the portion. This ThaiĀ noodle stir fry in particular came with some great size shrimps and not only matching well with the sweet-savoury-sour sauce scattered but those crushed peanuts? Yum! What a treat! I would give this one a 7/10!
- Korean BBQ Noodles - from Seoul food, the iconic Korean chilli paste, char siu with hints of Asian pear tossed with kimchi and sweet potato noodles and just a winner! This was an 9/10 and my friend absolutely loved the combo and taste. Korea has a long history of noodle making and eating and it is hard to accomplish such great quality in a meal as they have been able to. The meat portions were quite generous and my friend absolutely recommends this one which I have to admit made me quite jealous to want to try some too (they used dairy in this meal so unfortunately I didnāt try it).
- Mongolian Stir-fry with Beef - traditionally made from hoisin sauce and rich soy sauce for a healthy fusion of savoury and sweet wok tossed with grass-fed lean beef this is part of their PāLite menu and not only I was surprised with the portion that it came but the actual taste a combo of flavours is just outstanding! It looks very good and obviously another popular meal amongst Thailand and if youāre looking for a more macro friendly option, definitely this is an option to consider and you wonāt be hungry after, for real! This was a 8/10!
- Prawn Dumplings - for snacks, we decided to try their 3 homemade prawn dumplings! I mean because I am a dumpling lover this was an absolute must and absolutely loved not only the presentation but even the spicy soy sauce infused with Sichuan peppercorn! Weird I know but I found it not overly spicy and quite tolerable (maybe because I just had minimal quantity of it). Absolutely a must try!
- Chilli Squid With Sriracha Mayonnaise - 3 fresh squid seasoned with Japanese 7 spices. They looked great in size and were crunchy outside and gooey on the inner part and definitely appreciated! It came served with Sriracha mayonnaise dip that I personally am not a fan because I am not a person that handles heat well but I am sure that for the spicy lovers this will be amazing. Great treat nonetheless and would recommend if youāre a tempura lover!
- Vegetable Spring Rolls with Sweet Plum Sauce - as the hugest spring roll lover, this again was a must! 2 fresh vegetables, ginger and garlic rolled in golden pastry, served with a delicious sweet plum sauce - oh my, oh my! PLEASE DO TRY THIS!
- Buddhaās Harvest Vegetables with Satay Sauce - finally, to feature some of their exclusive vegan items, I decided to try their steamed veggies & tofu puffs! Great presentation and I would say that for a āsnackā this portion is very generous indeed! It came topped wth some spicy soy sauce and topped with toasted sesame seeds that definitely nailed that final touch and this is basically a little bowl of health that actually tastes incredible. I would even say that if youāre not a massive eater, you will certainly be well served with this size of meal.
PāNut Street Noodles was created to take everyone on a real Asian street food journey through real food, real people, real recipes andĀ real feel.Ā I feel like then bring more of the Asian food and culture that I absolutely love and itās definitely way more than just āa mealā. Their staff is also kind and generous and as a business, they help charities, providing some of their profits to them. I love the fact that they have been integrating more vegan creations to the menu and how they try to please every single costumer that walks in.
A big applause for the service š¤
Chicken laksa, Mongolian stir fry with jasmine rice, and Chilli Basil Noodles. Yummy authentic food, cheap price, generous portions, fast and friendly service, and an awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Really great quality food and fairly priced. Got the chicken Pad Thai and the Nasi Goreng. The portions are generous, so you will definitely be satisfied with your meal! š You order at a counter and they bring the food to the table but the service is pretty quick.
The seats aren't very comfortable though.
Sampling local food from street carts is an essential part of any trip to Thailand.Ā The 50 Baht ($2.50) Pad Thai we had on Bangkokās Khao San Road is amongst the best we have tasted.Ā Ā . Our fond memories of Thailand were reignited when we visited PāNut Street Noodles in Zetland, Sydney.Ā All the restaurantās sauce bases are made from scratch in Thailand in order to retain the authenticity of street food.Ā Their Pad Thai teleports us right back to the bustle of Bangkok and we embark on a virtual holiday without leaving Australia.
P'Nut collaborated with the Indonesian consulate to host an event to celebrate Indonesia's Independence Day. On this occasion, they had a few special dishes native to Indonesia and also some that are generally available in South East Asian restaurants. We went to one of their restaurants, P'Nut Zetland. The restaurant is located in the East Village shopping center in Zetland. Half of the restaurant was transformed into a cooking demo area and also some large tables for showcasing their dishes. #invite
PāNut Noodles, previously known as Wok on Inn, is an Asian street food restaurant with influences from various cuisines from South East Asia. The restaurant recently to PāNut, which is a combination of "Pā - respect, and āNutā - the name of the Executive Chef. Their popular snack item, Chicken in a Cone, is one PNutās newest creations.
Great little place just outside the shopping center. We had the chicken in the cone which was on promo for half price this month only. Was like a honey chicken in a waffle cone very nice.
Love the food and the service is very helpful and quick. They patiently answered all our questions and catered to our dietary requirements. thank you!! We can't get enough of the Korean noodles here.
Delicious street food on the go, loving the fact that they have "P'lite' menu for those who want the food to be healthier.
I wanted to try to eat these noodles in "Takeaway" to see if I can actually open it up like a plate, it was a success!
My fave is the Cashew nuts noodles, a flavourful and tasty noodles with good spice. Great place to get a quick lunch or if you are on the go.
