A variety of curry, which is good to try. A good choice for people who love spices. Chicken liver is very very hot! Eggplant curry is good for vegetarian.
Amazing momo, good variety of authentic Nepalese cuisine. Liver is a must try on the entree. Small restaurant with great ambience, the feel of the restaurant takes you back to the country

Ordered one dish as takeaway so my review may not do justice... Will have to go there again for more meals. Ordered on phone with a very professional voice... Reached there and food was being cooked fresh and give in a couple of minutes. Flavours were good
The Nepalese Kitchen has an authentic, warm and homey feel as soon as you step foot into it. The food was delicious and flavorsome. We ordered a chicken and lamb curry with the spinach and cheese dumplings to start. Was very pleasant with the dishes!
Food and atmosphere is great. However they starting cleaning/mopping the floor around us with what smelt like bleach while us and a couple of other tables were still in the restaurant. I think they did it on purpose so we would leave but it was only 9:30pm... was really bizarre
Location is great and really enjoyed having a quick chat with the owner about the differences of dining in Australia in comparison with Italy. Beautiful breakfast.

Located in Surry Hills the Nepalese kitchen is a nice but no frills restaurant. It's best to go with a group as the food is perfect for sharing. We had a range of curries including goat, lamb and a vegetarian curry with eggplant, potato and tomato. The curries each had a great flavor and the meat was tender however the roti bread is fairly basic. Overall we enjoyed our meals and they are reasonably priced. BYO only.
Entrees disappointing, mains quite good. Though some of what was ordered didn't make it to the table. Some dishes arrived and just got dumped on the table and the waitress herself didn't even know what the dish were. Not enough rice, roti didn't come to the table. Not enough staff rostered on to deal with a busy Saturday evening, therefore not great service. Disappointing overall, would consider somewhere else for a group dinner in the future.
Been here countless times and the food and service never disappoints. The dishes are here best shared, so come with someone or a group.
The Maacha Pakauda fried prawns entree are delicious, maybe even get two servings of them. Definitely try one of the curries — the Goat curry is my favourite and get a salad to go it. The Paratha and/or Roti is a must to go with the curry as well, and get a pick at least 2 Achaars Relishes to dip — highly recommend the Nariwal and Somar Achaars.
Delicious food and really cheap too! Also $2pp BYO. Really can't go wrong. I would skip the entrees. The dishes are quite small and not that great. The mains however were full of flavour. We ordered the goats meat curry and lamb curry. Both were great. The chicken was also good as well as their roti and fragrance rice. Best to reserve a table. Really cheap and decent price
First time for me to try Nepalese food. We ordered two curries, the fish curry was awesome but the lamb smell in the lamb curry was a bit too strong for my liking. The infused rice was interesting and worth a try. We went on a Wed night, no booking was needed.
Had the most amazing food experience at The Nepalese Kitchen . The food was thoroughly enjoyable with all the flavours and spices which are usually only possible while in that country ,where I have been . The restaurant has a great buzzy vibe .The staff who are Nepalese are helpful with the menu .Overall great tasting and well priced ,my favourite dishes are the Goat and Prakash's chicken curry ,look forward to my return.
Venue is very cozy and food is delicious. Portions aren't that big though - especially for bred and entrees. Try the curry with mushroom or the one with potatoes, they are great!
