Going back to Capitan Torres completed our Sydney stay.
I have had many meals there and always had the garlic prawns followed by a steak. Why change our habits even though it was years ago? Thoroughly enjoyed it and it was very nostalgic as we were regulars here for many years.
Hola captain' I needed my sangria fix so I docked in, ordered the litre of fruity goodness and it set me straight, we had the chorizo sausage as the 'tre which turns into a meal itself once they roll up on you with the hot breads, the paella was the main event and I enjoyed it, dish was cooked so well and gently meshed with seafood & chicken it had me rattling off Spanish lingo mid-feast, they didn't name the Torres Strait Islands after this restaurant for nothing
The seafood paella is really worth this mark. The rice is slow-cooked with variety of seafood. I used to consider that the most attractive part of seafood paella should be the seafood, however at here the rice just plays a support role. My friend and I could hardly finish it. By the way, the wine tastes nice as well.
