The flavour in the American burger were a little bit odd, maybe that’s the mayo? But otherwise it tasted good and the bun was nice. The beef patty is tender and pink and quite juicy which I wasn’t expecting. Not amazing but better than you’re average fast food burger. The home made tea was way too sugary.
Love their burgers, especially the Aussie and the Classic. The American is great, but the sauce does taste very much like Mecca’s.
I like their beef patty, it’s very juicy and good texture.
I can’t say the same for the house-made drinks, like the iced tea and the ginger beer.... just stick with bottles or cans.
I may have been too harsh on my last review of Burger Project because they do have some of the better beef patties in Sydney. It still seemed chewier than my last visit years ago but that might be due to cooking them medium instead of the wonderful medium rare that it used to be. The bun also seemed much less weak and sugary than before. The sauce and veges in the basic burgers don’t really create an intense flavour like some but it was still a good well-rounded burger and cheaper than many of the trendy places.
