Highly recommend! Atmosphere is warm and vibrant with the background tunes hitting every mood but still able to chitchat with friends. The food was absolutely delicious- cannot wait to try everything else on the menu. Book in or takeaway ASAP!

I haven’t been to belly bao since it moved to Newtown. The spicy bai noodles with the roast pork was 10/10! The noodles were like flat rice noodles but a bit chewier. The seasoning was perfect however the portion was small :(. Curry cheese fries were yummy too, you can’t go wrong with Japanese curry and some fresh fries. Now time for the baos. The panko crumbed chicken bao was what I expected. Pretty much chicken sandwich except on a bao instead of bread. Slow braised pork belly and beef short rib was exceptional though. Overall, wouldn’t dine here all the time as you would pay a heap to get full as besides the baos, the portion sizes are small haha.

Interesting fusion. Love the softshell crab bao, the texture was great with the crunchy fried softshell crab and fresh vegetables and the sauce balanced the flavours well. Baogers have an interesting texture (and funny names too), more fulfilling than expected. Ordered the magic mushroom bao (with chocolate filling) for dessert, the mushroom-shaped baos look absolutely adorable, not overly sweet too. Staff was attentive and friendly even during peak hours. If a booking is not made then you’d probably have to put your details down on the wait list and come back in 15-20mins. Drinks and cocktails sound delicious by their names and ingredients but were a bit overpriced imo. Can use forks & knives while chopsticks were also provided. Overall very cosy place with creative dishes for a casual night out:)

Small portions, delicious flavour. There was limited seating so we sat at the bar, which had very little table room. The noodles were hella spicy, the buns were soft and wonderful. Bit pricey but it's what you'd expect in Newtown.

The Baoger is definitely one of a kind. All the right kinds of flavours a burger should have. The spicy noodles are amazing too. Top it off with the pandan balls which are just the right amount of sweetness without being too overwhelming.

Great atmosphere and the bao fillings were super tasty. The curry fries were a quirky combo, but somehow just worked. The highlight of the evening though, was definitely the Apple bao jug.

Very delicious bao! The buns are extremely soft and the filling is very tasty and satisfying. Chips are deliciously crispy and flavorful! The gin and black pepper cocktail is very refreshing as well. Not a super filling meal but very delicious. Would definitely come back!

Popular Asian fusion in Newtown, had an early evening visit, the place was really busy already, got the last two seats by the window, people came after us had to wait for a while to get the seats. Ordered the roast pork belly bao, beef short ribs bao and the onion bao noodle, as we had plans to go to another place for dessert, so didn’t try the dessert here. Both baos were good, with tasty fillings. The noodle was ok, taste a bit on the plain side for me, maybe I should have ordered the spicy noodle instead. Overall, it seems to be a good place to meet friends and have a quick bite.

Cute little restaurant in Newtown serving bao styled dishes. Very delicious, although the tofu was a bit bland. We got two burgers and a bao with two drinks, and it was definitely not filling enough. Expect to order lots here if you want to fill up.

The perfect mid week date night! Everything was super fresh and delicious, the soft shell crab and beef bao buns were a big hit. We also had the BBC baoger, fine spice mushrooms and fried wings which were delicious. The gaytime bao and blueberry spring rolls are a must try. 4 star rating because the fries we ordered were never brought out and the service was a little slow for a weeknight. Overall would defiantly go back again.

Loved the food, staff were very friendly and helpful. Portions ARE small but at the price set, i think it was very reasonable. I wish i lived close enough to order delivery!

Delicious food and a good vibe. Serving sizes are a bit small but the taste and quality makes up for it! The Beyond Baoger was juicy, would highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious food here! There isn't anything I'd change about the food, it's also reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. Will be coming back again!

Friendly staff yummy baos! What more can you ask for! Fave is definitely the pork crackling bao along with the soft shell crab. We got the Chinese broccoli for some greens and it was in a nice oil soy sauce. Ordered the karaoke tea (lychee +mint+bourbon pitcher. Definitely a fresh drink for summer

The bao were amazing - crispy tofu with fresh flavours, beef brisket so flavourful, pork belly rich enough that it should be one between two. And leaf tea! OMG, leaf tea!
