I confess: I passed up eating here previously because… of the sign. I couldn’t read it at first, and it looks more like Pott’Spat than Spot, which is an even more terrible name for a restaurant. The childish lettering, the bad rhyme. Agh. But please try to get by that, as I did. For once I did, as my friends R & F encouraged us, the food was not just surprisingly good, but really very good.

This little coffee shop is using Danes Coffee Beans.
Danes Specialty Coffee has taken out the title of Champion Australian Roaster for the first time in the 2018 Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA).
My Piccolo was awesome!
That’s for a start.
Had a very late breaky, Pancakes ( 3 stacks ) served with stone fruit compote and salted ricotta, and praline.
Pancakes was beautiful too.

Smart place with cosy yet functional interior that has mellow music, good WiFi and is good for working. Coffee is smooth but slightly weak so order a strong if your like it that way. I’ve had the Big Vege Breakfast which came out looking great and is a very generous and filling portion even after the gym. Wide range of ingredients on the plate that all were fresh and felt very healthy, yet for some reason taste was slightly on the dull side - not much seasoning. I found myself putting copious amounts of salt and pepper all over the plate. Also the falafel was dry, and I wished this was more Labneh to balance it out.

On other occasions I had the daily specials such Salmon dish with puréed cauliflower as a substitute for potato mash and a lamb sumac salad. Both were quite good!

I’ve also had the Himalayan chicken burger which was delicious, spicy and fresh, with a brioche bun that melts in your mouth. Only downside was the fries were over cooked and way too crispy.

Service is pretty relaxed and chill. They don’t bother you much if you are working. You may need to go inside or up-to the counter to order as they don’t come around very often.

Got there by chance (I was actually looking for another cafe) and found a parking spot next to this place and decided to try it out.
The menu caught mu eye as is not your typical smashed avo and muesli type stuff but there is more thought put into the menu and pretty muvh everythig sounds appealing. Decided to go with boccocini baked eggs (comes with a side of crispy potatoes) and ot was really worth it. Staff were friendly, the eggs were very tasty and the potatoes were super crunchy and delicious!
Will be back before I finish my job in the area in around a month's time.

Really nice mother's day breakfast. Neither myself or my wife really like the traditional "half a side of bacon, two fried eggs, two toasted bits of Tip Top" breakfasts and we're always looking out for something a bit different. My big breakfast's slice of roast pumpkin with pine nuts and my wife's lamb on turkish with poached eggs were great! Really nice atmosphere too, will be back.

Absolutely outstanding. Innovative and subtly flavoured food. Great coffee. Great staff. Lovely alfresco ambience in the heart of Potts Point. And very reasonably priced. Ticks all the boxes. What's not to like? I'll be back!

Nice food and very friendly staff, but awful music!
We really like this cafe. Their breakfast is delicious and coffee is really good too. The only issue is the music-we were listening to acoustic covers of very questionable quality. It would be great if the staff would consider to play something more neutral :-)

We were being lazy for the Easter long weekend and walked up for breakfast.
The free wi-fi is always a big hit with us at any venue.
The staff, as usual, friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable of the menu (and the cold drip coffee filter they have - but alas not used at the moment).
We are very predictable - eggs royal with the salmon on the side of the plate as we do not like it under the eggs and getting over cooked form the heat.
The pancakes we great, cream, and something tart/savory to help balance the acidity would make them perfect. A good serving size.
The only downside for me on any of my visits is dogs running around and barking at each other - destroys the peace and quiet of breakfast, reading papers or talking to friends.

Love this place!  Very well executed favourites with some really progressive and innovative takes on modern Australian cuisine cycling through their specials.

Nice place to hang out too... with a cool "urban" feel to it, spent hours just chillin' away from the world in there.

Simple and good food and super friendly staff makes this a great place for a quick coffee or a sandwich... But not a place for a sit down meal...its like an airport or railwaystation

A lovely spot for breakfast! They have really worked on their presentation since my last visit! Some really interesting options on this ever changing menu, the pancakes are a favourite. All in all a nice trendy spot for breakfast by your self or with a group of friends, great for any occasion.

A nice place for quiet coffee.... a great place for interesting breakfasts. I liked my Persian Breakfast.... a tasty alternative to the Full English.

Pott'Spot breakfast is a true winner. While it is a bit pricey ($23), it is a meal and a half. Great combination of yummy stuff that tingle your taste buds. One free range egg (poached or fried), prosciutto, roasted tomato, rosemary chats, zatar labneh, corn fritter, chimichurri, Rodriguez chorizo, spiced pumpkin smash and rustic sourdough.

One of my favorite local cafes to work in. Super tasty food with a great menu, really friendly staff and of course...amazing coffee! Be sure to get a stamp card so you can get a free coffee after x amount of visits.

Great menu options, especially for breakfast. A nice relaxing spot, not too busy and has plenty of outdoor seating. Good coffee and friendly service.
