At @goodfilo I was greeted with so many happy smiles and a glass cabinet with drooling pastries ! Yes I am eyeing at you.... Galaktoboureko!
• Dolmades from baganodas -stuffed vines leaves filled with rice, herbs and beef mince served with Greek yoghurt and dill dressing
• Sagana - cheese saganaki pan fried with thyme
• Fried fish
• Greek coffee
Everything is good here! They have some Greek dishes and a lot of Greek pastry. It is good to order many small dishes for sharing and to try different flavours. Even better with a Greek coffee. Friendly staff.

Absolutely my new favorite authentic Greek cafe! It's vibrant, delicious & I love the modern decor. To have a place which makes its' own filo pastry on-site is not common, and that's why they are so busy!! We tried the tiropita - the pastry is besutifully soft! We tried the prasopita & spanakopita - both delish! My favorite was the bougatsa - the crema just dissolves so gently in your mouth! People were continuously lining up to grab a table, not bothered about the wait & I don't blame them. Love love love 😉👌.
I am honestly a huge fan of greek pastry! Came here on a weekend and it was packed! It was abit hard to order as the food items were listed in greek with English descriptions of what they were. There were long lines but moved fairly quickly. The custard pastry and four cheese was probably my favourite! The rest were ok! The baklava milkshake wasn’t outstandingly amazing. I’ve had better ones. However the service here was quite good.
✦ The place is very very busy - if you don't need to dine in you can walk in and order takeaway straight from the counter. Otherwise get in early or be prepared to wait. ✦ There is a heap of pastries and dishes to choose from in the display counters - if you don't know what they are like me - just choose a random selection and go for it!
Awesome new bakery/cafe serving up Greek goodies! There is such an energetic buzz and yes, there was a queue at 11am on Sunday but worth it. Must order the baklava milkshake! Ekmek kataifi and Millefeuille were both so indulgent and lots of choices with the savoury pastries too. Tip: Takeaway option available if you don’t want to queue.

Ramsgate, welcome your new modern Greek-Australian patisserie “The Good Filo” , co-owned by Daikos and Head Baker Kiriakos Metaxotos. It’s all on show here, a wonderful selection of handmade Hellenism-inspired pastries, bougatses, tsourekia, and other traditional Greek treats crafted from long-standing family recipes. Bringing real traditional Greek desserts to your taste buds, there’s not much not to love.
Everything at the Good Filo is made in-house with the same love and care Greeks are renowned for in the hospitality industry.
Beware though because you won’t want to order just one thing such is the amazing selection to choose from, for me the standout dish was the Bougatses, custard cooked to perfect with nice crisp flaky pastry and just the right amount of syrup....
Expect a line up depending on the time of day you arrive but the team are professional and try and make it as seamless as possible.
Popular new Greek patisserie and eatery located on Rocky Point Road in Ramsgate. So popular in fact, that there was a queue the Thursday afternoon we paid a visit.
I'd been forewarned to try one of everything so came prepared with my appetite along with a small group of friends. Everything we tried was fabulous - ekmek kataifi, galaktoboureko, merenda (nutella) eclair, chocolate profiterole dessert cup, galatopita, and some savouries including the Philadelphia filled pastries, koulouria and pastitsio which the kids literally hoovered. And when your Greek friend comments that the galaktoboureko is as good as her mum's, then you know it's authentic.
My only disappointment was that they were sold out of their croissantaboureko. On the bright side, it gives me another reason to visit again, and to try their baklava milkshake.
The Good Filo could easily be described as the “Great Filo”, the “Amazing Filo” or just precede Filo with any positive adjective and the naming would be appropriate. This newly opened café/ bakery on Rocky Point Road in Ramsgate, selling Greek pastries and home cooked food is a great addition to the café scene.
