Loved the environment, and service. Food was absolutely delicious and worth the price ! Highly recommend the bulgogi and hotpot. Definitely come back again
Impressive dining with excellent fried chicken.
Highlights:
• Spicy Boneless Fried Chicken
• Cream & Onion Boneless Fried Chicken
Cons:
• Tteokbokki was not up to traditional standards
I’ve been here many times and always bring my friends here because it is worth it. For sharing, i always choose korean fried chicken and hotpot. They also have special lunch menu which are also great. I definitely will comin there regularly ❤️
Order:
1. Lunch special Boneless Soy Garlic
2. Lunch special Boneless Sweet and Spicy
3. Lunch special Boneless Snowing Cheese
4. Udon
5. Bulgolgi rice cake
Service was quick and easy. Food arrived very fast. When price was split between 5 people, it was quite cheap altogether.
The lunch special came in plates of half chicken and the other half fried “chips”. The sauce served with it was delicious. The chicken itself was quite juicy, although the portion size was smaller than expected.
Udon was good, but serving size was quite small. Probably enough for one person as a meal. The bulgogi rice cake was great, good change from the normally spicy rice cake.
Best fried chicken that I’ve ever had in Sydney!
Very nice price for the lunch menu.
Their snowy cheese chicken and soy sauce chicken were so good! Extra points for boneless & the waffle chips!
The noodles were really good as well, there was tteokbokki and fish cakes in it. It’s not spicy at all, which was what I wanted!
A little bit on the pricier side of life, however it has a great atmosphere and everything was clean. Would definitely go again for a casual meet up or even a date as lighting is killer for cute selfies
A clean, bright and cute eatery with a chill, retro ambience - not crowded when we went on a Friday night. We were greeted by friendly staff and promptly seated. Menu has a good variety of dishes and looked very appetising! We ordered the vegetarian dumplings and the spicy fried chicken with bones in, between 4 for 'pre-dinner'.
Dumplings arrived within 5 minutes, chicken within 20 minutes, but misleading menu because waffle fries come only with the boneless chicken, not chicken with bones. We were disappointed about the lack of clarity about this. Despite this, chicken was crispy, juicy and very fresh, with a good burn. Although it was spicy, it was sweet and had just the right amount of kick.
Overall, really pleasant meal, let down by misleading menu picture.
The batter on the fried chicken was softer than I like but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the soy garlic flavour was great. It was also better value than other places I’ve been to because the chicken comes with waffle fries and cabbage. They also have cheap Korean beer - although it’s cheap for a reason. Early days yet but this is currently my favourite KFC in Sydney.
I have been there two days in a row, i love the food there, especially the soy garlic boneless chickenStaffs are really friendly too, would 100% visit again
Both the oven and fried chicken were yummy! Very crispy , flavourful and generously portioned. Fish cake hot pot was ordinary, but not bad. The beef tendon was super soft and was nice for a cold night.
Service was prompt and ordering was easy.
Very happy with our meal and will be back.
Food is very delicious.
Second time going there and we ended up very full again.
Not the best restaurant to go if you are on a diet. :)
It is always quite busy, so we booked a table beforehand.
Staff is quite friendly and kind.
When we booked the table we were asked to leave the table free within 80min. We ended up being there for almost 2 hours though.
Pretty decent Korean restaurant that serves all the usual dishes you'd expect like hot pot, Korean rice cake and fried chicken.
The food was on par with other neighbouring Korean restaurants and nothing particularly stood out. Serving sizes were fine but I would have liked it if they were a little bit bigger.
The restaurant gets very busy and if you are part of a group, make sure everyone has arrived otherwise staff won't let you in
First day in Aussie and most of the cafes were closed by evening. Thankfully, we chance upon Basax round the corner near our hotel and they unexpectedly serves really good fried chicken. As a tourist, we went back to Basax once more during our 3 days in Sydney. Good stuff!
Can’t wait to return with a couple of friends! Matt and I had a little date night and enjoyed boneless chicken with a range of sauces. We opted for soy garlic, sweet & chilli, spring onion and snow cheese. It comes with waffle fries too!🤤 I’ve recently fallen in love with tteokbokki so we had to order cheese tteokbokki! Obviously we didn’t finish the whole thing so got the leftovers to go! Lunch sorted for the next day 👍🏼
Enjoyed the food, nice non traditional themed interior, but authentic food. A lovely young lady working there ran after us because i had forgotten my glasses in the restaurant. We ordered this chicken plate (52$) for two people (with empty stomachs) and weren’t able to finish it. Might be a bit pricy for some, but the portions are nice, would visit again.
i like the odeng soup♥️ friendly staff, food coming so fast!
the side dish also yummy! love the kimchi and pickle radish so amazing!!!
Very nice and cozy restaurant, the staffs were welcoming and the service was amazing. Especially the tall and big-eyed staff, she was really kind and energetic. Gotta mention the foods there!! The best chicken in the city!! I will visit again!
