This small but popular takeaway place is located over Erskine Street.
Well managed and organised.
Good variety of food options including many vegan and vegetarian ones. Menu is quite much inspired from Mexican food.
Cordial service. Cheerful and efficient staff.
Delicious food and good quantity.
This is my favourite burrito in Sydney for a weekday lunch. It's on the lighter side compared to the likes of Guzman so I can see why people might prefer the latter but for me, the flavours are just perfect. I like the creaminess of the beans, the tenderness of the pulled pork and the flavours of the rice mixed with the sauce. It does feel like a healthier burrito which is not for everyone; it is not as heavy so it doesn't feel like it sits in your stomach for hours afterwards.
Like Guzman but blander. I’m still waiting for someone in Sydney to go the other way and do super-rich and spicy food like in Mexico, but with this place billed as South American, I should have expected it would be like how Mexican is in SA - ok but distinctly blander. Per Kilo doesn’t seem to have any of the “per kilo” offerings left and the menu is mostly burritos and tacos. The burritos are copies of Guzman’s, down to the black beans and Mexican rice, but the meat, although good, is blander and there’s none of the tangy Mexican flavours in the beans and rice. They have good corn empanadas with meat and potato inside but only one meat was available and you now have to buy 3 for $10.50, so they’re not suitable for a snack.
Coffee is nice and strong, and they have good selection of cakes, and all sort of Mexican food, such as tacos and burritos.
I did try Picollo with cake, I am very happy with it.
Forgot to take pic of their burritos, i ordered their breakfast burritos and it was yummyy! They are definitely not stingy with the omelette, the flavour wasnt too strong (sour cream&hot sauce) and its just perfect to eat it for breakfast. Service was very friendly and fast, always smiling when explaining everything, love to get that kind of service in sydney, since its rare.
This Latin eatery is on Erskine Street. Came here for breakfast and tried their Breakfast Burrito Deal which was a burrito filled with scrambled eggs, beans, and onions. I also added bacon which was an additional cost of $2.50. This pushed the cost of the deal quite a bit higher. It wasn’t as large as I expected it to be but still tasted good. It came with a small orange juice as well. Service was quick this morning.
If you are craving for some authentic Colombian food then Per Kilo is it. I have been there a few times for lunch and it always hits the spot. They also have downstairs seating area so there's plenty of spaces to sit. It is self serve, so the more you add to your plate, it will weigh more therefore the more you will pay. This plate of food was $14.
Went for lunch today and ordered the chicken nachos. Freshly made so waiting a little while was worth it.
The chicken was char grilled with nice spices. Black beans and a nice sauce with wholesome large corn chips. Sides were guacamole and a tomato salsa, both tasted great.
I'm going back for sure!
Came here for lunch during work with colleagues. This place is packed every lunch. Its similar to mero mero and guzman but in lunch box form.
The service was good, we were mesmerised by the ir Spanish accents. I ordered a chicken burrito (spicy), the chicken was tender and the burrito came with a kick, boy was it spicy! Next time i am getting medium.
My on criticism is that there wasnt any cheese in my burrito :(
My colleagues ordered beef nachos, delicious but again not enough cheese, i feel that it should be sprinkled generously on top or in its own container section. My other colleagues ordered soft tacos, came in 4 mini soft tacos - there was not enough soft tacos to eat all the fillings.
I would go back to try a few other things on the menu.
Very nice mexican food. Good for work-time lunch. Staff is also very friendly. One of my regular lunch-time places. They serve very tasty veg. buritos.
$12 vege burrito with chips inside as well. A good lunch option . Wait is about 5 mins at lunch time. 3 eat in seats. A small section of South American products for sale as well. Staff friendly. Easy as. I asked for mild sauce, next time I'll go a bit spicier, it was a tad on the bland side, maybe some more seasoning would help. Easy walk down to darling Harbour to enjoy the views with your burrito!
Can't believe it's taken me so long to get here. Awesome Mexican. I jumped straight to the chip burrito and wasn't disappointed. Really quick service, even at 1pm. Will be back asap.
This is THE Awesome Sauce in Sydney!! Fantastic food, latin tunes playing. Order in English or Spanish. Food is fantastic.
This is what a burrito place should be. Huge servings, excellent quality ingredients, super filling and well priced.
I couldn't recommend this place more.
I had the Mexican salad, and was great. It was really quick too, I totally recommend it.
I tried a pulled pork burrito. Delicious!
