I like this style of coffee - very rough but also very creamy. Really friendly staff too. The croissant wasn't as good but the price was good and I don't know anyone else around here doing coffee like this.

It is really easy to write a comment when a place is amazing…. And this place is truly amazing.
We went there becausewe were looking for good quality freshly roasted coffee. And trust me, as a black coffee drinker; it is not easy to find good beans. Coffee taste is totally subjective, and like my grandfather used to say: “de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum”, but I don’t like the trend of lightly roasted coffee which leads to me to an unbalanced sour taste after extraction.
The team there is really friendly and they know their shit ! After few minutes talking with the staff you can definitely feel the passion and their expertise.
The long black is to me the best in town.
The variety of blended and single origin beans is just stunning for only 31AUD/kg….
The food is also really good and generous. We tried the chicken salad but they add sold out their chicken, no worries they just replace it by a massive pece of roasted beef, I love sald and this one was pretty good and huge ! And the ultimate roll is a knd of bacon egg roll but bigger and better with avocado and a spicy tomato relish, just perfect to start your day!
It is a 5/5, simply the best coffee place in Sydney. I strongly recommend this address.
I've just taste the coffee in the morning which is very good and they have many options to have breakfast too. It place in a very good location, perfect to take away before work. There's always a guy in the cash part that attends us, very nice and always happy, gives you a shot of energy and with the coffee, much better!
Average experience. I couldn't see any stand out differentiation dishes. The staff were very accommodating. I'd recommend their coffee and their milkshakes!

We need to source coffee for our home. My husband found this place and we decided to give it a try. It located in an industrial area and the shop shares the same style with other shops in the nearby area.
There is a sense of masculinity to this place. Maybe it was just by coincidence, I was almost the only woman customer at the time we went in. The manager was very nice. He walked around to make sure that the customers are taken good care of. He was energetic, friendly and loud in a good way. This was so different from many of the cafes I have been to in Australia that the waiters/waitresses seemed to have no clue what they were doing. The cafe was very busy as we came and he identified that we did not have water and brought us a jar straight away.
After the meal, I was given a tour for the coffee roasting area at the back and upstairs. Very nice introduction and patient explanation.
We ended up buying the coffee, the chocolate coated bean and the book. BTW, the coffee here is brewed in different ways. Good quality and actually not expensive.
When I discovered the coffee roaster, I was ruined for any other cafe or coffee. The team is amazing and the food is awesome. What started as my morning coffee during my working week has now become a Saturday breakfast tradition with the family.

The best coffee. Very accommodating staff and quick service. The place was very cozy. Must try in Rosebery area, along Botany Road. When you're in the area for any reason, try their freshly roasted coffee beans (whole or ground) to take home. They have choices from 250grms/pack to 2 kls/pack. 😊
I tried coffee beans from a few different places and the ones from The Coffee Roaster is definitely one of the best, if not the best. The guy who assisted me with my purchase was extremely helpful and knowledgeable making it such a wonderful experience in itself. The lady at the front was also very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place!
This is the only place we've been getting coffee from. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. The cafe is quite popular as well.
EDIT: 1 Year later. Wouldn't go anywhere else for coffee. Really big variety of blended and single origin coffee. The people here are really passionate about their coffee. It's also great they are open on Saturday. Highly recommend this place.
Stumbled on The Coffee Roaster at lunchtime. Inside has a pleasant shearing-shed style appeal. Service was personal and eager to please. The food is basic but tasty. No fine dining here. It's simple fare and nutritious. The milk shake was very creamy. Yum.
Delicious coffee, great food, friendly staff and a nice and relaxed vibe. These guys take their coffee and their roasting seriously and you definitely get the feeling there is science at work! Coffee beans can also be bought in bulk and for takeaway, so you have plenty of options on how to enjoy your brew.

Great coffee and sandwiches, we tried the cappuccino and latte, and the BLT Turkish and the Ultimate Roll!
Nice friendly staff, coffee was pretty good and the vegetarian wrap was excellent.
Friendly staff, fast service, amazing coffee beans. Arrived just after closing but they still opened the door for me. Very impressive.
