So, many of my friends have told me that Tim ho wan is just overpriced yum cha, however, if I must have one dish, it’s the baked bbq pork buns. So this is exactly what I got. A set of 3 pieces for $9.5, it is a bit pricey but TASTES SO GOOD. If you’re a fan of steamed bbq pork buns/ char siu baos, then I highly recommend giving these buns a shot as the baked bun works well taste wise and texture wise.

Pork buns. Enough said. Lol. I guess everyone knows that Tim Ho Wan is famous for its freshly baked pork buns which goes well with its iced milk tea. I can proudly say that I can finish 3 pork buns in one seating. 😋

The elusive Michelin star restaurant landed in Sydney a while back and I finally gotten around to visiting.
The options were wide and you could generally find your favourites like prawn dumpling and pork and prawn dim sum. But I wanted something different.
We tried their special pork buns, the garlic and chicken rice and the clear spinach dumplings. The dumplings were beautiful and delicate with a generous amount of filling.
The chicken rice similarly was generous and packed full of flavour.
The pork buns however were a bit disappointing, I found the exterior far too sweet and awkward with the soft inside. Although I've heard so many people rave about this, I'll probably give it a kiss next time.

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry it's been so long but we have been overseas exploring the US. Keep posted as we are working to try and get our travel guide to you shortly! We hope you are as excited as we are!. The festive season has finally come to a close, well unless you are one of those lucky people who don't go back until next week! Let's take a moment to reflect upon this last festive season. This is the one time of the year where it is impossible to not visit the family. You just have to and under no circumstances would you be able to wiggle free. For many of us, family events are so few in the year so finding a place to hold such a function is critical to it's success! You want somewhere trendy, but not crowded, fancy but not overpriced.. and for crying out loud, a place where you can wear shorts!

The specials included two savoury options (each come as three portions – $8.90) — spicy tom yum goong prawn dumplings, and beetroot-infused pastry filled with prawns and topped with wasabi tobiko (flying fish roe). The pandan pudding pops with red bean, cranberries and dried apricots were the third option (three portions – $6.90) -– for those wanting a sweet start to their dining experience.

The Abalone dumpling was amazing, service was really good and food came really fast! Also didn't have to wait for seats on a Thursday night which is a bonus!

Today I go to Tim Ho Wan in Sydney CBD. The meal is pretty good. I am very familiar with the one in Melbourne. Actually, Tim Ho Wan never let me down. I tried the treasure bowl. It was very tasty. I also tried the specials. It looked so fancy.

I love their BBQ pork. I miss the fat Char Siew so much when I was young. This place brings me back to my memory. Please keep the fat BBQ pork. I know it maybe not too many people like it. But I really love it.

There is a small surprise. You can eat the right level of roast meat in Sydney. But I hope can have more choices such as soy sauce chicken.

The roast duck is super delicious. Juicy with crispy skin. Eat with the dry noodles, it is perfect pair. The bbq pork is also very tasty and can be combined with the duck in one order. I also like their dim sum, especially the prawn dumpling. Super fresh prawns with crystal skin. Price is reasonable for the freshness of food.

Finally! they brought their best into their takeaway store. saves me the commute to Canton Canton at the other end of town hall station! Still the best roast meats i've tasted around Sydney, and probably the only one available at this part of town for a quick lunch takeaway, conveniently just at the food court under my office building. really good incentive to keep coming back given they have return vouchers for every $x spent. which essentially is more reason it's getting me hooked on my favourite BBQ pork with dry noodles.

Me and my hubby ordered a 3 roast combination and Singapore Hainaness chicken rice today. The roast duck was so succulent, the roast pork belly skin was crispy and the BBQ pork taste good with some fats on it. The Singapore Hainaness chicken rice taste so good with the chilli sauce. Over all 5 star for the foods and good service.
