We had ordered the grazing plate, the skewers and their signature rice dish and within literally 5 minutes the waiter had all three dishes in front of us. From the gorgeous interiors and the prices on the menu, we were expecting the dishes to be of a tapas-like portion, meant to order several quantities of to fully enjoy with a larger group of people (there were only two of us) but what came were two large wooden boards with a colourful array of meat and vegetables - beautifully charred chicken, lamb and beef, sides of crunchy carrot and red cabbage, cauliflowers and dips galore that were all so perfectly quantified that we managed to finish everything without feeling bloated or needing more. Koshari rice was spot on. Great price point. Charming staff. We will be Bekya for more! #throwinafreepun

Amazing vegetarian food. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Friendly staff and great ambience. Probably one of the best middle eastern places I have eaten at. Will be coming back to dine here again! :)

The food at Bekya is my kind of food: fresh and flavoursome. It’s family recipes that have been created with a special touch. It’s beautiful food that you don’t see at a food court or your local kebab takeaway. The highlight for me was their kibbeh and the Egyptian falafel. Try stopping at one! #bekya #tramsheds

Bekya is absolutely amazing!! I highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious, fresh and filling lunch or dinner. The staff are extremely accommodating, the service is incredibly quick and the meals are such great sizes for what you pay, it’s definitely value for money. Bekya also accommodates very well for vegetarians and vegans, with the menu clearly labeled.

Egyptian Foods, thats you don’t see every day at the normal food court.
Flavour is awesome in every single bite.
I’ve tried snacks size 🇪🇬 falafel, to be honest flavour is blew my mind but my opinion a little dry. However the tahini sort of sauce to comes with it, lift it up and makes the whole dish life again.
The dessert, quinoa and apricot is worth to try.
I tasted the fragrant from. The rose water, I’m guessing the perfumed it during the cooking process.
Nice, light, fresh dessert, nothing like I’ve tried before.

Housed in Sydney's iconic and now out-of-use Rozella Tram Depot, Tramsheds is one of Sydney's hidden gems. It's made up of a variety of restaurant pop-ups including the likes of Hopper Kade (which has since moved - click here for my review), Belle's Hot Chicken, Gelato Messina and Flour Eggs Water. It's a really beautiful space to walk around and check out the different restaurants that run there. For us, Bekya stood out.

Ordered from here using Foodora. The food was delivered swiftly and in no time at all I was chowing down on some tasty morsels from here.

I had the Flat Bread, Hummus With Minced Meat And Pine Nuts, and Fried Kibbeh. The flat bread was hot and mopped up the hummus really well. That was slightly spicy to my taste but still a delicious dish. The pine nuts gave it some crunch. The kibbeh was nice and crispy on the outside and had tender lamb in the middle.

Tasty middleastern tapas style share plates. Great wine selection. Service was impeccable-i would go back just for that. Unfortunately the weather in the whole open plan tramshed is humid humid humid. More of a winter experience rather than a place you would enjoy in summer. On the other hand if you want to rock a bikini you could probably tolerate it. Apparently it can get upto 35 degrees indooors in summer. No thanks i would rather fry on the beach. Its a very dog friendly place. So many doggies parked out front.

Decor is modern, theme is Egyptian, clustered together with other modern themed restaurants. Service was excellent and helpfully allowed my party of two vegetarians and two omnivores to order the $50 banquet menu with split choices for our different wants. So the food was varied and a good way of trying a large choice of different foods.

Every time I go to Bekya the food has been great and the staff had been so friendly. I love how they make their own flat bread and the dips are amazing. It is easy to have vegan, vegetarian, gluten free options too. My favourite is the arnabeet, cauliflower, and Koshari but everything I had tried so far have been amazing. My friends all love the food and even a friend who was visiting from the UK and picky with hommus and Middle Eastern good said she loved the food. Really love this place.

One of the best venues at the Tramsheds, been here a couple times, and it never disappoints, the service is good, the food is delicious and fast. We did not have to ask for water, the waiters are very attentive. Definitely be back during my next visit.

Cool place to hand out. The contrast between nice, sleek new apartment blocks and the rustic feel of historical industrial architecture is really nice to experience all around Sydney. We went to China Diner this time. Good experience, nice seating, good food. But there are lots of other options. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Nice ambiente, well restored historic building with a climate. 2h free parking and all facilities like toilets available. Nice exhibition space upstairs, paired with a good selection of shops and restaurants! The eateries are a bit pricey, but worth it quality-wise.

Old Tram repair/service warehouse (shed) transformed into a functional place located around a nice residential neighbourhood. It have a variety of cuisines to choose from and a supermarket. All the essentials for us to grab an easy breakfast, lunch or dinner and our groceries.

Great addition to the area. Lots of places to catch up with friends for a bite to eat. The supermarket is super nice and has a great range of products not normally found in the usual Coles and Woolies. Parking is available onsite and if free for 2hrs.

I love this place! Not a lot of shops-but the ones that are there are excellent. The supermarket is probably the best I've ever seen. Always worth a visit for a look around-and to see the historic old tram.

It is easy to appreciate and enjoy a location where a building from the past was not destroyed but rather repurposed so that Sydney citizens and visitors 100 + years later can enjoy and appreciate history, good food, good coffee and even a playground for the Littles. Tramsheds acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Tramsheds stands today, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation and we recognise their enduring connection to the land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. Every Sunday 8am – 2pm Wake up and take a stroll down Artisan Lane each and every Sunday morning where you will be delighted by local fresh and delicious produce and bespoke wares. It may be historic, but Tramsheds today has been transformed into Sydney’s most dynamic district for dining – and learning. Home to 7 community-based retailers and 11 restaurants and cafes from some of Sydney’s most forward-thinking chefs, it’s a hub for culinary creativity and a place where true innovation is born. The Rozelle Tramway Depot was always busy when it was built back in 1904, becoming an important interchange where people met and socialized on their way around the city. While it has a different purpose today, more than a century on and a dramatic renovation later, Tramsheds still plays a pivotal role in community gatherings and remains a place to celebrate Sydney’s architectural history.

Nice place for a family outing with two hours of free parking and ample outdoor space. The independent grocer here is good (albeit a little pricey) and the old world charm of the setting is worth a visit on its own. I'm a bit sad to see some chains popping up. Would love to see some pop-up restaurants or something the encouraged more communal dining. In any case, worth a visit if you're in the area.
