I've never eaten vegan food before, or even considered eating it.
Came across this hidden gem, the food was AMAZING the staff were lovely, friendly and very informative about the dishes. All made fresh everyday and super tasty. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Came all the way from Korumburra to try this place and it was worth the drive! We brought our greyhound and it’s just great to find a dog-friendly cafe. He loved his doggy-treats while we totally enjoyed our scrumptious cake and coffee. Then we went for a beautiful walk along the Ruffey Creek (just over the road from the cafe) to the Yarra, and came back for lunch - my tofu scramble was delicious! Would highly recommend Power Plant to anyone.
As someone who has recently become vegan, this place was such a treat. The vegan options are so yummy and the service was lovely. Can not wait to try the rest of the menu!
My favourite cafe to go too! service is always amazing, food is always great, can never go wrong!
Good menu size and take home options to buy
I visited with a group of 5 and we all enjoyed our meals. The prices are completely appropriate for what you're paying for in terms of taste and being surprisingly filling. Everything is definitely made with love here.
The staff are kind welcoming and the space is open and bright.
There aren't that many vegan (or even vegetarian) cafes/ resturants around this area so it's great that Power Plant is here!
Unfortunately there's not many vegan cafes in the area. This place however, still delivers amazing vegan food. The coffee is always great. Their vegan cheesecakes are delicious as well. My favourite menu items are the avocado toast and the black bean burger. If you're in the area and looking for great vegan food, I recommend coming straight here.
My favourite cafe!! Every time I come here I’m greeted warmly and the staff are always so lovely. They even cut tags off a pair of my friend’s mittens for us, they offered it and everything!! The lighting is great, not too bright, the music is quiet but you’re still able to hear it and the people you’re airing with (perfect volume), the prices are very reasonable and the food is great!! Their cakes are especially incredible, I can’t go there without not buying a couple for myself!
Enjoyed our visit due to the plant based food and friendly as well as efficient service. Great selection of food and even the traditional meat eaters were satisfied. I had soba noodle salad and enjoyed the flavour and tempeh really helped me to feel satisfied. Also really easy to book a group table on the weekend when other's wouldnt! 👌
Amazing food highly recommend the breakfast and lunch menu and also the healthy drinks the setting is amazing the vibe at this place is outstanding
Amazing food - lots of variety and options. Reasonable coffee, a little bitter but ok. Great service. Went with a non vegan friend and she loved her meal :)
Honestly one of my favourite cafes. I’m not vegan but it’s so lovely to try some different styles of food and I bring all my vego friends here, they all rave about it. Staff are always so lovely and it’s a great space for kids!!!!
Plant-based cafe located in Templestowe that worths a visit! @powerplant_cafe serves tasty vegan food and some beautiful drinks too.
Here we tried:
🧇 Sweet Potato Waffle (blached asparagus, mushroom bacon, sour cream & chives, puffed wild rice, hazelnut, romesco sauce)
🍔 Brekkie Burger (brioche bun, hash brown, smashed avo, scrambled tofu and tomato & beetroot relish)
🧇 Cherry Ripe Waffles (with Cherry Ripe Chocolate Bar)
🧊☕ Iced Coffee (with coconut ice cream)
•
To start off the sweet potato waffle was great! It was tasty as all the elements are working harmoniously to create a beautiful dish. The mushroom bacon was the highlight - the texture and flavor was amazing. The waffle probably as not as fluffy as the regular non-vegan waffle but still moist and tasty nonetheless. Recommended!

The brekkie burger was another good one! The tomato and beetroot relish was to die for. It looked a bit messy for a burger, however, it was surprisingly very enjoyable to eat - would love to have the chips included rather than as an extra.
•
Perhaps the only dessert item when we visited the cafe - a must order if you are craving for sweet dish! Loving the combination of sweet and sour of the cherry ripe and the strawberry. Coming from a non-vegan background, perhaps what feels weird for us was the texture of the waffle, quite chewy, mochi-like texture, maybe the lack of butter or other ingredients.

Overall, we highly recommend this cafe for something different. Friendly staff, great vegan menu, love everything we've eaten here. There are plenty of seating outside as the inside tends to get busy.

Started out with Red Velvet Latte. Not bad at all. Their take on King Oyster was interesting and paired well with the provided sauce.
Would recommend for vegans.
Great food but slow service and can also get very busy at the coffee machine with walk-ins. Meals are a good size for the price. Lots of gluten free options available. They also offer cow's milk for coffee (only) to cater to non vegans - a definite plus for our family events needing to cater to everyone.
This vegan restaurant is a delight for the senses! They manage to delicately put flavour and taste in all their dishes! From breakfast to dinner to snacks the food is infused with unique flavours and unique scents!
We had the green burger, loaded fries, choc sundae waffles and heaps of Mocha and lattes and capucchino's!
I give them 5 stars and recommend the visit!
The people who served me and my 11 family members were amazing! Their ability to cater for special needs for family and children is great!
We ordered a chocolate and raspberry cake for my daughter’s birthday. Everyone came up to me and told me it was delicious! We asked for a thin layer of frosting so it’s not too sweet and that was perfect. The process from ordering to pick up was also very smooth. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a vegan cake in the east!
The service is good, the atmosphere and layout is very good, and the beverages are also good.
However, some of the food seems a little lacking. This may simply be due to personal preference, but I had their tofu scramble. It was dry, and it had turmeric on it. To put a long story short, it was fairly unpleasant.
However, the chips on the other hand were very nice. I have had them twice now, the first time being the better experience. The chips were nice and crisp, with a smoky aioli. The second time, whoever cooked them didn't refry them enough, and some chips were a little overdone, whereas others hadn't actually been heated up quite as much and were only warm. Nevertheless, it still tasted fine.
Delicious vegetarian food. In fact it is such a shame it is not open in the evenings . We shared the green bowl, the breakfast bowl, a green burger and a bowl of the smokey hand cut fries. It was all delicious, tasty and nutritious.
Always love a visit to Power Plant. So many delicious vegan options and just a great place away from the hustle and bustle to have a nice meal. They have a good selection of gifts and snacks for purchase too!
