Just wanted to drop by and commend you on such wonderful service but it’s so much more than that. I watched while the place was super busy and buzzing with Uber orders, walk ins and phone orders going out.
Your leader was amazing, he was so polite to the young staff members and taking the time to train them so they could succeed he also told an Uber driver to cancel his second delivery because he didn’t want the other customer waiting too long for their food!
The care and pride that resonated from him and the other staff was exceptional.
The food was cooked to perfection and tasted great. It was only by chance that I stopped in tonight but I’m so grateful I did �!

Fresh fish always and friendly staff. Their fish and chips are never too greasy, just right. I like their salads option too.
We stopped in here, hoping to find a good fish shop. It was better than we could have ever hoped for! The food was fantastic, and the service was great. We were privileged to meet one of the owners, and she was a sweetheart! This is definitely one of the highlights of our whole trip. Thank you!
Amazing fish and chips! I have just moved to the area and have had the pleasure of getting food from Fish on High over a dozen times and it has never disappointed. Not only is the food incredible the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It’s really hard to find takeaway places that offer this level of service and consistent quality which makes ordering from Fish on High a no brainer. I would recommend trying the grilled salmon pack or the fried snapper and chips.
Fish on High is our go to for Fish and Chips. Slightly more expensive than their counterparts around here but it's worth every penny for the freshness of the ingredients, nice crunch and delicious flavour combination (for the burgers). Highly recommend.
Very good fish and chips. Ordered for takeaway:
- whiting: well battered and salted, very tasty, large piece of fish, great value. Missing the slice of lemon though, which I feel is obligatory...
- chips: thick and well salted (although would've loved chicken salt instead)
- corn jack: great crispy outer shell, a little dryer on the inside, would've liked more corn for that additional sweetness/juiciness
- chiko roll: my partner said this was very good
- sausage in batter: tasty
- calamari rings: large, tasty, well battered. My partner thought this was the best he's had in Melbourne so far
- chicken nuggets: good (bit pricey at $1 each though)
Overall, very tasty food. Recommended.
Thank you to the friendly staff,I went there on Good Friday just wanting Scallops my friend and i were DELIGHTED with the quality ,size and lovely batter they were delicious and very moist .the BEST i have EVER had anywhere , the Best in Melbourne they will see a lot more of me .
I've been coming here for around a decade now, and it's the best fish'n'chippery I've found in Melbourne. Simply outstanding.
Great family-run business with bespoke-standard fish'n'chips at regular chippery prices. Always seem to treat their staff well, and a small but nice range of fresh salads and sauces to go with the takeaway. These guys are one of the very few places in this location doing more business than they were ten years ago, despite the wave of gentrification and competition that has swept the area.
