absolutely AMAZED with Pizza Farro! i was extremely pleased with the service, loved the interior and extremely happy with the amount of gluten free options provided, accommodating for us coeliacs! i need to mention also about how amazed i was with the generous portions, really worth the price you pay! i came tonight for my mum’s birthday and 3 of us were left very satisfied and in food comas!
we tried the gluten free prosciutto pizza, gluten free gnocchi al pomodoro, gluten free gnocchi panna, calamari fritti, antipasto di salumi, polenta chips and arancini balls - ALL gluten free!!!
my favourite dishes were definitely the calamari, i couldn’t stop eating them, they were so crispy and delicious with the aioli, also loved the prosciutto pizza and gnocchi panna! for gluten free products it is hard to cook a good pizza and pasta but these were cooked to perfection with lots of flavour and extremely pleasing to see the pizza filled with toppings!
i would 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone and i would be back for more, i was in complete heaven! :)
Chose this pizza place on a whim and was not at all disappointed. Some of the best pizza I’ve had in a while I would even dare to say. The base was soft and thicker than I would normally consider to be ‘good’ but I am always happy to be surprised. The presence of a broccoli chilli and lemon pizza on the menu is always a way to personally win me over. Everyone at the table enjoyed their selection and I’ll be back here again soon to try one of the other tasty looking options (but more than likely get the same thing!!)
As regular customers for dinner, we chose to have our son’s first birthday here and were so impressed with the amount and quality of food and friendly service. Nothing was a problem- Alfred and Lisa made sure all questions and requests were answered from day one, making it easy for us to enjoy the party. Our family and friends were raving about the food and have been back since our event! Thanks to the whole team for your service :-) Highly recommend for a casual enjoyable function!

Classic woodfire pizza done right! Delicious ingredients on a good base. Had the osso bucco pizza which was amazing. And the lamb ragu pasta was incredible. The staff and service were quick and welcoming. Highly recommend.
I love the pizzas here! They are cooked perfectly and they have a substantial amount of topping. The pizzas also came out within 15 mins.. The staff are always friendly here as well.

Delicious gluten free meal and fast service on a Monday night in a big group. The polenta chips and Zucca on gf base were the highlight but also loved that they could accommodate a gf antipasto platter with great selection of meats.
Will definitely be back.
This is my favourite place for pizza. Amazing gluten free bases, great topping options, fantastic vegan selection and ONLY $20 for any pizza and glass of wine on Mondays. How much better can it get? Decor is super cute and the staff are always lovely.
This is a solid choice if you're looking for a decent pizza feed in Thornbury. The Polenta chips are incredible, the pizzas are delicious and the decor is quirky and cozy. There is some great vegan options for those who are so inclined. Its a little on the over priced side though so not for the 'cheap eats' crowd (normally me) but they do have an offer on Monday for Pizza and a drink for $20!
The pizza is chewy with slight woody charred bits on the crust, the salads are fresh, vegetarians and vegans are more than catered for, the spritz's are spritzy, and the service staff are chill and totally know what they're doing. The vibe is classic & classy family restaurant vibes with touches of northside artsiness (eg the many rolling pins decorating the ceiling). Love this place a million times over!
Great pizza and pasta very friendly staff.
We went here to celebrate a birthday and the staff went the extra mile to sing happy birthday for our friend. The had the whole restaurant lights dimmed and it create such a great vibe.

Recently visited Farro after our long lockdown. This was actually the last place we ate at before lockdown and the first place to eat out when restrictions eased and we felt comfortable going out. First coming to Farro back in approx 2010 and revisiting after nearly 10 years, its still pleasantly the same, but in a comforting and reassuring way. We had only ever ordered pizzas but on pre lockdown had a gnocchi, texture great, but alittle salty for out palettes but still nice. My stock standard is always the Funghi pizza. Although all those years ago there was a more of a selection of mushrooms, including enokis, possibly from memory, sliced king oyster and swiss browns, the king and enokis they are no longer present but the taste is still the same due to the truffle oil used and still yummy to eat. Other favourite being Prosciutto and Margherita pizzas which are fab too and never fail to please us. The Spelt flour is awesome and so much nicer that regular flour. Cost is for us quite high as a low to middle income, so Farro is always a treat for us.

Ordered takeaway from counter when opened. Order of three pizza, Margarita, Prosciutto and Vegan Ortolana; ready in 15 minutes. All enjoyed however some of the lettuce on Prosciutto pizza was alittle old, yellowed. Didn't see this until got home. Vegan Ortolana was yummy but alittle more attention could be spent on evenly spreading the grouped toppings/ ingredients. Alittle oily for my liking but flavour of ingredients was nice. Ordered Ortolana and Margherita once again and an order of the Arancini which is a 2 piece order. Pizzas good as per usual, photos attached so you can see consistency or difference. Quite disappointed in the Arancini. Although size wise they are the normal/acceptable but for the price of $9 they are abit steep, would think they could have been abit larger then, however flavour was good.
What a great night!
From the warm greeting we received from start on arrival to the amazingly authentic Italian food, we enjoyed everyone moment of our experience but the highlight of our evening was the delightful Bella!
She explained to us that she was quite new and set clear expectations up front which helped us to support her and make her experience positive also.
The joy and genuine enthusiasm was palpable and whilst everything was so yummy and we will definitely be back, it was the service and care shown by Bella that will stay with me and my husband well after we've forgotten what the food tasted like.

I visited Farro Pizzeria about a month ago with a large group of girlfriends. The booking reservation was a breeze, our waitress was absolutely lovely and the pizza and vegan pasta were delicious. Amazing staff, always so professional and with a smile no matter how busy they are. The food is beyond anyone's expectations: cooked with love with local produce. Best pizza I have ever eaten!!!!
Kicking myself we haven’t visited sooner! Have always heard good things about Farro but I was blown away by the freshness and quality of the food and the friendliness of the place. Such a local gem - my new favourite.
I've been a client of Pizza Farro Thornbury for years now and I have never been disappointed. The food is delicious. I also recommend this place for everyone who has dietary requirements. As a vegan I always find amazing options here. Also a friend of mine who is celiac loves Pizza Farro's gluten-free pizza. I can't recommend this place enough!
