Great chicken nice and fresh chips with gravy! Greek salad was nice! Generous big portions The customer service is 5 out of 5 will be back! Magic food!
Seriously, not only is it the most ridiculously under priced meal I know of in Melbourne but the roast chicken is literally the best I've ever had.
$8.90 for a plate of food that a 90kg grown ass man can barely finish.
Oh, and uses free range chickens.
Great Chicken, salad variety ok. Chips are really nice, would have given a better rating if my order of chicken and roast vegies had gravy on it..... which I'd ordered but was forgotten.
Really good chicken here, we had a quarter charcoal chicken, and the schnitzel, both were great. Amazing value for money and the owners always have a smile on their face. Highly recommend.
Good chicken & generously salted chips at very reasonable prices. Give the salads a pass, you don't make friends with it. Service is excellent, lovely family run place.
Ive been coming here a while now, and have always loved the amazing food. The owners are such lovely people, who work tirelessly on end and aim to accommodate orders as best as they can.
Definitely call up to guarantee a chicken as they take 1.5 hours to cook, as it's hard to predict how many customers may show up on a particular night.
I love how its super close to the train station, tram and bus stops, so that I can always pass by the area.
The portion sizes are very generous and I like how they sell a variety of ice cream and drinks too. Definitely recommend the schnitzel burgers and potato salad
Love it. Great value, generous serves, and awesome chips! The staff are very friendly and always smiling :)
Great place to grab a quick bite during the day or if you can't be bothered cooking dinner. Food is fresh and service is always friendly, great value too.
Amazing chicken. I have been here a handful of times and the chicken is always freshly cooked, moist, the chips are piping hot with really yummy salt. My only gripe is that there are differences in service. There's a young guy who is usually there who is energetic, friendly and always gets my order right. However there's also an elderly couple who although friendly and still serve delicious food have sometimes missed an item. Still although this isn't my closest charcoal chicken, I always make the trek. It can work out to be a healthy alternative to dinner too if you swap the chips for a salad (which are fresh as well) or some steamed veges (broccoli, cauliflower and green beans...mostly broccoli!). Prices are very reasonable too. I have escaped having to ever wait more than a few minutes but I would definitely advise calling ahead especially if you want a whole chicken as they are always cooking them from fresh and can take up to 40 minutes if you come as they run out. Also extremely generous serving sizes.
Great chicken, absolutely yummy chips!! The staff always giving you lots to eat, never trying to cut corners and give you less :) 100% worth it
Love this place, fast and friendly service. Chicken is 5/5 as well as having a range of salads to eat it with. Classic charcoal chicken and it always comes out juicy, whether you get a breast or thigh piece.
Value for the price paid. Chicken had amazing charcoal smoky flavour.
Burgers are nice.
I will definitely be back.
Went here on ANZAC day for take away dinner and they were getting smashed (30min wait on chicken). The chicken was nice and juicy fresh off the charcoal grill. The large chips are huge and the slaw and potato salad are nice.
Great service and friendly to customers.
Lovely and good variety salad goes along well with the juicy, yummy charcoal chicken.
The cleanest charcoal chicken place that I've been.
Amazing value, so much food for your money. About average quality. I had the chicken parma with chips and greek salad. The parma was above average, the chips were OK, though the Greek salad was below average, mostly cucumber. Overall, considering how much food you get for the price, I recommend this place! I will be back.
Best chips in the lands. Crunchy and tasty.
The chicken is about as good as you can expect from a charcoal chicken place.
The burgers are a bit average, but they're definitely not bad, and most importantly they are well priced.
Pro tip: buy the food in the shop instead of through menulog/ubereats cos the prices are way cheaper. E.g. the 1/4 chicken and chips is $17 on menulog, but if you buy in the shop it's $8.50.
And that's where this place earns its 5 stars from me: the price/value. The food is fine / good enough, the prices are the real MVP
Did I mention I like the prices

Great chicken, we got a Hawaiian pack and a small coleslaw then took it to a nearby park and ate it. 10/10 would do again
Best chips I've ever had, I struggle to avoid popping in after work, and it's a decent enough serving for you to not want dinner! The chicken is also amazing, not dry in the slightest. Highly recommend.
