My partner and I wanted to come down for a while and decided to finally go for brunch last sunday. We arrived around 2pm. It wasn't too full, not too quiet either. I had the smash avo with bacon, loved it. Loved the addition of the labne and the chickpeas. The bacon was maybe a bit too thin and lean, but I am just neat picking. My partner had the Huevos Rancheros. He wasn't expecting to be like that but loved it. Coffees were also really nice.
The extra points go for that insanely delicious house-made habanero sauce (YUM!) and the adorable waitress. The service was perfect, we felt like regulars even if it was our first time here, she made us feel so confortable.
We will definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone.
Edit: I am forgetting the free muffin we got offered after paying the bill. Loved it!
I absolutely love this place. Not only is the food and drinks top notch but the staff and management who work there always make you feel very very welcome. Because of this, you get a really nice type of clientele too. An all out perfect dining experience. I arrive on the 11th April and will be going there for breakfast first thing with my special lady! �
Love this place. Their breakfast roll has got me through mire hangovers than I’d like to admit.

My girlfriend and I decided we HAD to try this place for breakfast as we passed it so often.
The staff were so lovely, quick to serve and very friendly and of course, worked out we had mutual friends.
My iced latte was great and my friends flat white was nice and strong (which is what she asked for).
Everyone in this place loves their food and want you to have the best dining experience.
I had the Ruben breakfast, which was a good size, very tasty and I liked the way it booked on the plate. Wish I'd taken a photo but was soooo hungry. My friend had the burrito stuffed with beans and scrambled egg and served with guacamole and melted cheese on top.
Oh yeh, we also had a juice - very good.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front. Toilets clean.
Well done Brother Alec. We will return.
Nice cafe with very reasonably priced food and specials. Dropped in on a whim but was certainly a good choice. Staff were very friendly and decor quite relaxed.

We sat in the outdoor courtyard area which was peaceful and perfect on a summer afternoon.
The Merry Berry Hibiscus tea was a beautiful taste of the Christmas season, and highly recommend the nachos!
Fantastic value at $50 for two adults with two dishes, and three drinks.

One of the best cafes down high street. Yummy food, great menu in general, good coffee, super friendly positive staff that set a lovely welcoming mood. Always try a new dish when I’m here and I’m never disappointed!
Amazing place. This Thornbury institution has been serving the locals for almost 10 years now and I have been regular almost as long. Friendly staff and great coffee, I always come in for their HLAT or Chilli scrambled eggs (or seasonal varieties of the dish on their menu). Keep up the great work guys!

Our friends recommended this cafe to us and let me just say, I’m happy that we visited. The level of service coupled with the welcoming and friendly staff made our dining experience a good one. The menu has a nice variety. The dishes were well presented but most importantly, the majority of our food tasted great! My favourite was the ‘Coconut chia’ which wasn’t too sweet and contained the right balance in flavour and texture. The ‘Smashed Avo’ on the other hand was too sour. We don’t usually have lemon mixed in with avocado. (All four of us agreed, it was too sour…) Usually, cafes leave the lemon on the side for customers to add in if they want. Overall, a wonderful cafe not to be missed. Oh, and the coffee here is delicious too! **NOTE: 1.5% surcharge apples on all cards - 15% surcharge on public holidays. Split bills allowed.
Great service, great coffee. The staff are attentive! A cute little cafe that will be A definite regular visit. Fave dish is the HLAT! Will be back for more!
Friendly low key service, a really good menu and great coffee. Almost always close to full and with good reason. I love having breakfast here whenever I can.
