Authentic Malaysian food! Ordered the Nasi biryani with beef rendang and fish Assam pedals and the ayam penyet - I would only wish that they gave more of the dishes (the biryani had only 3 pieces of fish and there was only a spoonful of pickled vegetables for both plates) to go with the rice
Highly recommended βοΈ
This place is one of my most favourite top rated cafes that serves AUTHENTIC Malaysian food
I order the Nasi Goreng Pattaya π π³ with a side of Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) π the flavours were totally amazing but the one thing I forgot to ask for was to make it Spicy!!
The servings are very generous here and there is definitely value for money
The chicken was extremely flavourful which was amazing and we definitely should have ordered more chicken.
Hey have a wide range of things in the menu so i will be back to try more !
OX tail soup always my favourite.
So yummm.
I like to sit beside the window, so comfortable. They also have live music every Friday and Saturday night .
This place has always been my go-to when I feel like having cheap, Halal Malaysian food. Because all the prices are pretty much the same for all dishes, which is around $11.9, everything is at the average rating. The Mee Bandung is my all time favourite here. The broth is a bit on the thick side compared to what I'm used to in KL, a little spicy and has that familiar dried shrimp flavour. It is good, but not strong in flavour enough imo. The laksa is a little different than what you'd get from typical Chinese restaurants. It has a more strong fish flavour that is accompanied beautifully by that milky coconutty curry flavour, and that tinge of sourness to seal the deal. The toppings are also generous and like the mee bandung, you can choose either the chicken or beef for meat. The Briyani is a good choice if you feel like rice with curries and meat. The choices of meat at the stand are subject to availability. My favourite is the ayam sambal. Overall, food is good. For drinks; the teh tarik is just OK. Not the best in Perth. The place can be a bit on the slow side depending on the crowd.
I do believe that their prices used to be $9.9 and they've increased prices this year, I think. Sadly the quality remains the same despite the price increase. I still come here not just to satisfy my Malay cravings, but also because they open till late and that's convenient. The vibe is also quite relaxing and there are live bands playing on weekends which makes the place very lively, fun and reminds me of home. A good place to hangout for a cheap meal and good setting.
p/s: extra meat is $3. Extra noodles is also $3 which is a bit much to be honest considering a packet of cooked egg noodles is $2.50 in the market
Makan2 is hands down the most yummiest and well priced indo malay restaurant we've been to. We are soo full and satisfied. Thank you we will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed my meal here at makan makan. Food portions were big and the food really had a lot of flavour. I should have tried the buffet meal instead as it really did seem very reasonable and yummy.
Definitely on my list of go-to places here in Vic Park.

I ordered Kwee tioh goreng (extra spicy) and it tasted good, like it although it is a bit oily. The owner is nice, had a little conversation with her when I ordered food. Overall, nice place and recommended place...
Ahhh makan,
There is a special place in my heart for this venue, they are never on time, the same dishes vary from day to day wildly and the main hall can be very loud. But I love it, the food is always passible, piping hot and the prices are so goddamn cheap!
On Thursday nights and weekends they sometimes have live music, its also BYO and such a good vibe.
It's my regular go to when I don't feel like cooking or if I just want a casual fun dinner with friends, I'm never dissapointed and neither will you be.
Makan 2 cafe has malaysian food with great taste. My favorite is their pecel lele or buffet menu. Always order ice teh tarik everytime i visit this restaurant. The staffs are nice.
Had the lunch buffet ($14.90) and it was so delicious! I am vegetarian and there was a large range of choice! I loved the biryani rice and the eggplant dish. The potatoes were to die for. Will be returning again this week with my boyfriend!
