We went there for breakfast, the staff are so friendly and we noticed lots of regulars there (the staff knew them by name). the eggs were perfect and the home made bread was divine. Coffee was lovely too. Treated the kids with a friendly hello and didn't mind them popping in and out to explore the nursery. All in all will definitely be back.
Cute CWA lady food. I am one of the few 'young' people who go to Banksia for lunch. The place is run by a group of sweet ladies who make classic lunches inspired by the traditions of the CWA. It may not be cool, but it is THE place to get great classic meals and is definitely THE place to take your mum /grandma.
The place can get busy esp on Friday's so dont forget to book. in winter the place can be a little cold so try get a spot by the fire. Pumpkin soup (entree) is cheap and the home made bread is great. Risotto's, pies and baked potatoes are also a fav.
Banksia is not an ordinary cafe. It also functions as a community care cafe.. My mum suffers from pancreatic cancer recently that makes her feeling very sick and losing appetite. When I took her to Banksia last Friday, I was surprised that she ate up the whole dish of salad. She enjoyed walking around the nurseries and shop. She purchased two pots of Christmas flowers. She was so happy. Her energy and motivation were back. Since then, her appetite has been improving. She loves to see the two pots of Chritmas flowers placed at the front door of my house now. Thanks to Banksia Cafe to uplift my mum's physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Banksia Cafe is not just an ordinary cafe but provides community care as well.
Great Service, Price, and Food. We loved the pumpkin soup & bread - the staff where helpful, friendly, and informed about the menu. It seems to be getting rarer to find a table service cafe with fresh food for a reasonable price, but this place manages it. The menu is simple I had a pastie but it was freshly made came with a small salad and a piece of their fresh bread.
Very Nice!. It's always a pleasant experience eating at the Banksia Nurseries Café, and not just for the gorgeous setting in-between the plants! The staff are very polite and the food is amazing. Highly recommend their home made bread, pumpkin soup and salad. Definitely a favourite amongst our family.
