The White Owl

The best night of friends, drinks, music and dancing ... and a great atmosphere from the gas flame heating, lights and lovely people there! Thanks White Owl for making the start to our weekend awesome :) :)

In a town with an abundance of cafes, White Owl has held its own. Conveniently located right near one of the primary schools, it has consistent patronage from students and parents before and after school. As well, it's right next door to the IGA which means many people come for a before or after shopping cuppa.
I've found the coffee here to be excellent. Today, however, I had iced chocolate and a fudge brownie. Perfecto.
The menu is limited but there is a choice of sandwiches (toasted or not), hot potatoes, burgers, quiche, pies, pasties and sausages rolls. For the sweet tooth, there is an abundance of cookies, croissants, brownies and more. There are also ice cream cones to be had and at $5 for a double scoop, it's a special treat for kiddies after school.
There is a big box of toys and books for little ones. There is also a box of blankets for those days it's cold or if you want to sit outside at the large table. 
Staff are delightful and it's lovely to see the young kids chatting to them by name and vice versa. This is what Warrandyte is about - community. 
On a final note - I do love the white owl logo. Very clever and always captures my eye. 
Wheelchair friendly. Takeaway food and drinks are available. Good parking around this small shopping complex

Best coffee ever. This place has the best coffee ever in Melbourne! Delicious bacon and egg roll and boys loved the iced chocolates!!
