Very different experience from some of the others here; maybe owners have changed recently. This is definitely no trendy hipster cafe, but its our closest cafe. We have been for breakfast twice; both times the servings were large, service was prompt, and coffee was good. I've gotten the scrambled egg and chorizo both both times, and was surprised to see an entire chorizo and what must be two scrambled eggs come out on my plate.
One of the big reasons why we go back in this cafe is how warm they treat their customers. Aside from their awesome meal selections, their customer service is one of the best (or the best in the area-i must say). Staff are always smiling and they remember you even if you only visited once. Kudos to their super hero kid- Matt. He is by far the star of this cafe. He is very accommodating and keeps a keen eye to all of our needs. He is the best. A must try cafe shop for those who will visit the Willoughby area.
A great child-friendly cafe where parents can congregate at the back near the toy corner and relax. The coffee is excellent and the food is generous and tasty.
Great value - absolutely fantastic. It can get a bit warm inside with the open kitchen, there is a nice out door area at the back
Good service, sit out back in the court yard with your dog or inside with. The kids as there is a play area, wifi and books for all ages inside. Sunday breakfast of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, museli with yoghurt and berry compote, eggs Benedict with spinayand mushrooms, 2 large coffees and a kids iced chocolate was $55. Food was good. Museli a bit pricey for what it was. Good bacon. Eggs perfect.
Relaxing place to chill, free WiFi, books to read, some toys for kids to keep them busy. They have breakfast and lunch options.

Had lunch there yesterday and the service was wonderful, with the waitress helping me put my daughter in her highchair (three available) and later on helping me lift the pram down the steps to the carpark. Really impressed. We had a BLAT and bruschetta and both were very nice. The bill was just over $22 for two people. They brought water to the table without even asking, which is excellent. The cafe is airy and bright and also has a little play area in the back for children, and space if you want your pram at the table. It would also be very nice without children as there is lots of room. Plenty of parking behind the cafe near Dan Murphy's.
Stopped in for Saturday lunch with a coupon from the entertainment book. Comfy atmosphere, menu with all the basic standards augmented with a few not so standard specials. Good wait staff, attentive without being intrusive. We will eat there again...
Nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Delicious fresh food. Nice choice on menu. Happy to substitute. Happy to make No Ordinary Cafe a regular haunt. Easy parking at back.
Tend to drop in when i'm after a more filling meal than sushi or sandwiches, and they do not disappoint. Tried the Moroccan Chicken burger and most of the specials, and served with a side of chips, they're a really nice meal
A smile would be nice, but hey... :)
Coffee isn't bad but the new menu is great. The staff are very warm and attentive, especially the young girl that works on weekends (Yumi). My lil nephew thinks she makes the best chocolate milkshakes!
