Really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. To be seated and surrounded by Chinese antiquities was a real privilege. The dumplings were amazing and the service prompt and friendly. Will recommend to friends.
Had a fabulous night at Red door. Loved the atmosphere, the food and the friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, coming back for sure. Best yum cha I’ve had in ages
Me and my friend came here at Tuesday night when it having few tables.
The decoration was very fancy, we sit on a Chinese style bed. There were many special Chinese furnitures.
We ordered a cocktail, it presented with a tea pot. It was weird but tasted fantastic.
Beancurd duck wrap and prawn dumplings were average.
The Hong Shao Rou was tender, but the meat it cooked in very dark color and with thin layer fat. I would prefer it presents in light color and more fat.
The most unsatisfied was the steam rice, it was chewy and undercooked.
It was a good place to visit generally.
A really enjoyable meal. Red Door has old world charm about it and the food was delicious. Tried a variety of dumpling dishes, the pork buns and steamed broccoli and all were excellent. My new favourite place for dumplings in Melbourne.
stop it!!! amazingly fresh & delicious yum cha.. there were only 4 of us - but I heard the kitchen sizzling away.. (& the loveliest staff).. superb pork soup dumpling btw & a brilliant soundtrack!
We had a wonderful lunch for my mothers 80th Birthday in the private room. Staff are super friendly, and the food is awesome. Highly recommended!
Having heard a lot about Red Door, I was keen to come and check it out. I booked a table for myself and three friends for Saturday night and off we went.
Unlike all the new restaurants that have popped up in Windsor over the years, Red Door has an older and original feel to it. If you are looking for funky/modern asian you will not find it here. They have stayed true to their roots and strengths offering up a delicious selection of dumplings set in a traditional setting. The space is unique and quite special. It was very busy when we went (lots of bigger groups) which we were told by a waitress was popular. Food took a little longer to come out at times, but the waitress acknowledged and apologised and we were happy with that. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the owner (Sam?) who served us sporadically throughout our meal was great.
I noticed he was following up with all the tables on departure which I thought was a nice touch on a particularly busy night. Rounding up, we all loved the food and ambience and would recommend. Keen to come back to enjoy the space for a quieter midweek dinner.
What a hidden gem. The interior is truly unique and Sam the owner makes you feel right at home. We went for lunch. Favourites were the scallop and lobster dumplings and the pork and prawn spring rolls. Don't forget the plate of greens! Love to try this place at night too.
Best Dumplings in Windsor!! We love coming here whenever the occasion calls and always leave happy and satisfied. The menu is varied and tasty and they even have a great little wine list!
If you are part of a larger group there is the option to do a set menu which takes the hassle out of ordering and consists of their best dishes and crowd favourites.
The service is friendly and prompt and great value for money!
An excellent place for a hot date or catch up with friends, these guys have all their bases covered!
Highly recommended - I will be back!
The best dumplings in Melbourne. I come here for the food and I’m never disappointed.
Relaxed, yet attentive staff. Lovely authentic decor. Great wine list, but what’s also a bonus is it’s BYO wine! I love coming here, I’m a repeat customer, and have been for years. See you soon RD!
I’ve been many times, the venue is lovely! The food is gorgeous especially the dumplings, great value for money and always great service, very accommodating and they have a BYO wine option
Good food, nice spread on the meat options. Small on the portion sizes but that is standard with such places. Loved the decor and ambiance of the place. Friendly staff and decent service times makes the place worth a visit.
That spring rolls is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This whole place is too cute to be true
Definitely will come back 😀

Excellent venue, great food , well worth visiting
I loved the place and I think it was very high quality food but the catch is that it was the first time I was having Yum Cha in this way. Apparently it's usually served on a tray which is moved around in the restaurant but here we had to order from a menu... My friend thought this was a big deal but it didn't bother me one bit. The atmosphere was amazing and they have a few really nice cabin/bed style seating arrangements which you can reserve in advance. Staff appeared casual backpacker tourist type but both were very nice and friendly... Make sure you check them out, the location is hidden so not easy to see from Chapel Street.
Wow! Sam amazing food. I loved it. Elliot, you're cooking is amazing. Scout, your sharkoutery board is impeccable. Amani, you brought me water quick and prompt. Amazing. Sophisticated. I'm bringing my children here when I have them in 2054. Thankyou Sam 5 stars
