Excellent!! Had the burger with beef and fried chicken and it was one of the tastiest burgers I have had in Melbourne, delicious! And the chips...... possibly the best ever. Crunchy with some amazing salt on them and a dipping sauce to die for.
Located in Chapel st Opposite Windsor station... great vibe and friendly service. Great beer happy hour and has Zomato gold deal... also awesome upstairs lounge and rooftop beer garden.
We came to this cool little bar on a 30% off voucher. The waitress kindly let us do a takeaway although we were supposed to dine in. The bar, neon lights and dark theme matched the place quite well, and if that doesn't suit you there are a few tables outside that get natural sunlight.
The burgers here are generous though also on the expensive side. If you're a big eater it is probably worth your while though. They serve decadent burgers like what you'd get at some other American style joints with multiple patties and artery clogging concoctions, though probably not quite as bad. I ordered the burger with a fried chicken patty and beef patty, alongside lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon and sauce. This retails for $17. We also had their basic $12 burger, which oddly enough didn't come with lettuce or tomato so we had to add lettuce for $1. We also had a Poutine chips with gravy, cheese and bacon for $13.
My beef and chicken burger was filling. Along with the chips, I hardly had to eat dinner later. Bun was soft and moist, so that's a huge plus. Cheese was well belted, chicken wasn't dry like you'd find at some places, the beef patty actually tasted like good meat when eating on its own, so overall pretty satisfied. A little expensive for the meal but it was fine on a voucher. The one thing I'd prefer less of is the BBQ sauce on the bacon. Their bacon (both on the burger and on loaded chips) is served cut into small pieces and doused in BBQ and other sweet sauces, which is a little overpowering, but that's sort of the style of American burgers like these. The chips were average crinkle cut chips like what you'd find at Salsa's - same paprika seasoning too. They weren't really crispy even when eaten fresh, but with the toppings it was decent and generous.
