Had Chinese New Year dinner here. It was about 12 courses including peaking duck, lobster tail, oysters, whole barramundi and more! So much food and it was all excellent. Service was quick and easy and about $59 a head which is great value!
I visited Ming's Palace for dinner with my family. They had really nice duck pancakes and fried ice cream. Good service as they were attentive and patient while we ordered for the first time.
The renowned roast duck here is amongst the best in Adelaide. The second and third courses are passable and perfunctory respectively, but the first course is stellar. Warm house made pancakes are provided for you with pre cut slivers of crispy roast duck, cucumber, shallots and a wonderfully moreish sauce. It is this course that more than adequately justifies the entire cost of the meal.
Between four people, it might not be enough food but this gives you an opportunity to try the other dishes on the menu. The salt and pepper squid was excellent as was their shallot pancakes.
As said in a previous review, it's best to prebook the duck - maybe that and their fortune chicken which seems to be very popular here as well. Will be very keen to return!
