I was visiting Adelaide from Melbourne for a few days and was recommended by my partner to come here.
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Decor: 4.5/5
Service: 4.5/5
Overall: The food was excellent (Combination noodles, vietnamese spring rolls and the bbq quail) and still authentic.
Staff were very efficient with everything, including making sure the waiting customers didn't have to wait too long for a seat.
Interior decor was beautiful, wooden panels made the restaurant seem cozy and cloth was laid over the tables, so you didn't have the sticky type of feeling that most asian restaurants have.
I never give 5/5 but these guys came close. The atmosphere and ambience of the place was quite good, the only thing that could've improved would have been if there were more tables/chairs in the venue (although this would've compromised the perfect amount of space we had) or some light vietnamese music in the background.
A lot of restaurants should look to this place as an example!
Since I last ate here a few months ago they have added some more Viet options and more noodle soups to the dinner menu and the results are excellent.
I had the Phnom Penh seafood noodle soup and my partner the dumpling noodle soup. Both were excellent. The broth was so home style and refined (my partner is Vietnamese Australian so tough customer). The dumplings in the dumpling soup were phenomenal...some of the best we've had.
The salt and pepper dishes (we had an entree) are also excellent and not so chock full of MSG like many places.
I would definitely ignore some of the older ratings and give this gem a try.
Soft Shell Crab. Brilliant dish
