I came to this cafe after a long time . The food is still delicious. I had a pancake this morning and it was amazing. The coffee was perfect. The staffs were really friendly and nice. They welcomed us with a warming smile. I’ve always been the fan of pancakes of cafe Berlin. There is no other cafe where you can find it.
Will be back with my family next time :)

Good coffee, well priced, friendly staff and the best part is the large range of in house made sweets and savory dishes. I tried the spinach, feta capsicum savory muffin and it was delightful , definitely a highlight. Decor is nothing grand but the food ultimately is what you come for.

Bought takeaway breakfast from here today.
This cafe is a nice comfy place with nice and helpful staff.

Coffee was strong and smooth, didn't turn sour even when it cools down slightly.
Got the pumpkin, feta and spinach muffin, it was really delicious! Very moist and soft. Many chunky pumpkins in the muffin.
The sweet pastry and cakes looks absolutely delicious. Will come back to get a slice of those tarts in the fridge.

Upbeat and friendly staff greet you as you step inside this cosy little cafe located on Darling Street. A bounty of delectable baked things fill the front counter display including muffins, cupcakes, slices and cakes. The vanilla slice was obviously popular as there was nothing left but flakes of pastry. Fairly fast service for takeaway coffee.

Amongst the trendy cafes of Balmain, this bring a touch of the classics. With a solid menu made well, some of my favourites over all the visits includes perfectly poached eggs, creamy scrambled eggs, avocado on toast & a decadent French toast. Coffee is great & staff are friendly. There is also a cabinet full of cakes like a good old fashioned vanilla slice, NY cheesecake or a simple cupcake.

Coffee here was perfect. ☕❤ I hardly ever drink it these days but it was good to have a delicious, smooth, strong cup the rare moment that I do.

Café Berlin definitely has more of an old school vibe as opposed to the more trendy recent cafes. You can tell right away from the décor and the menu. Some people may prefer this, some people may not. The negative is there aren’t many options catering for dietary requirements, but as is the case with anywhere else, you can try and make it work for you wherever you go.

They have a house made baked beans dish which was delicious. Considering it was just beans, egg, and toast I did feel it was a little pricey but taste of the beans was spot on.

Avocado and spinach was okay, but not something I would order again. The balsamic glaze didn’t do much for the dish, and as a whole was something I could have at home. Plus side was the amount of spinach was very generous.

Overall, definitely worthwhile stopping by for coffee if you’re a drinker.

Simply layout, you certainly wouldn't go here for the Fitout BUT the coffee is great and the food is AMAZING!! I mean home baked treats and wholesome pies. Well worth going out of your way for this

Yummy home cooked food. This cafe is old school in all the best ways. Amazing home cooked food - the lamb and fennel pie is bursting with flavor and generously proportioned and the flourless chocolate cake is the best I have tried in Sydney. I have also had their BLT with avocado which was again a very generous rendition of a cafe classic. The coffee is average so you might want to try something else in the drinks line. And the layout is a little odd - a number of the tables are positioned in a way that is really quite awkward. I know others have complained about service here - I've never had any such problems. The staff have always been friendly and efficient although often really busy as this is a popular spot. If you like good home cooked food you should definitely give this cafe a try.

'Cafe Berlin', which is the big sister of CBD newbie 'Palomino Espresso' is always a pleasure to visit. Great honest food and service, you know exactly what you are in for every time.

Always a great feed at Bad Habits, the attention to customer service is above anywhere else, always made to feel at home like family. The good is mind blowing and has never once disappointed, if you want your stomach and soul filled, go to bad habits.

Friendly happy staff. Yummy and filling food. Chai tea could use bit more flavour but it's common thing I find at cafes. Its tricky to make nice fast with just the tea spices and not immitation syrups.

Like many previous reviews, we have been past here many times and decided to drop in with the kids to try their burgers. Just asked for an awesome beef burger. Pretty good, will be back.

Freshness at it's best! Located on Johnston street, this Cafe is accessible to many public transportation systems. If you're driving here, there is a car parking right in front of it. The staff is helpful and fill the place with positive energy. The menu has many options from breakfast items, brunch to lunch. The fruit smoothies are so fresh and made out of fresh ingredients. Food portions are very generous and the taste even even better. The fattoush has the right balance of flavours and is perfect for a sunny warm day. Corn Fritters are served with cream cheese and salmon which taste beautiful. Excellent food, taste, quality and ambiance.

A cafe with Middle Eastern influences and plenty of choices for brunch that are all organic. The portions are large and you can definitely tell it's fresh. The staff are lovely and hats off to Suzanne who owns and runs the place with her partner. My favourite dish was the French Toast. Mixture of sweet and savoury balanced out by the crispy bacon. You can even taste bacon in the maple syrup and the toast! I would also recommend getting one of the bruschettas to share. There's a choice of avocado, hummus or olive paste with an abundance of tomatoes. A lovely small cafe. I'll be back soon!

This is such a cosy place. Service is super friendly, from the owner to all the staff. Nothing is done without a smile & nothing is too hard. The menu is very extensive with distinct Middle Eastern influences and dishes present. Everything is homemade, from the falafels to the dips to the baklava. And everything is delicious and generous with the plates heaving with food. Its also very affordable and reasonably priced especially given the amount of quality food you get. The shakshuka is not the biggest but big in flavour. The hummus is delicious as are the crunchy spicy falafels. Specials like lentil soup is a warm hug on a cold day & you cant go wrong with a bacon and egg roll on Turkish or a tasty wrap. The baklava is not too sweet which is great but abit skint on the nuts. The hot chocolate is delicious and not short on chocolate with 2 big clouds of marshmallows. Its just a relaxed, homely, deliciously comforting place to enjoy good dood.

The cafe is inside a house and you can sit inside or in the laneway next door. It was quite busy this Sunday visit, papers for you to browse and a kids play area if you want to take the family. Order at the counter, they have some meals on display to inspire your order! There's a range of house specials - moorish made baked beans, corn fritters, home made pancakes. There's also heaps of wraps, sandwiches, burgers and bruschettas. We went for the specials today. We got the Ricotta special - sourdough with ricotta topped with berries, walnuts, pistachios, seasonal fruit and honey. Really beautifully presented and tasty. We also got the Haloumi stack - a free range egg with a side of avocado, spinach, roast tomato, haloumi and balsamic vinegar. Egg poached perfectly. As for drinks, a latte was on order with some latte art and we also got a tea which was brewed with leaves. The staff were attentive and friendly and the owner Susanne was particularly hospitable.
