This is a pleasant cafe in the North Balwyn village. It’s slightly old fashioned, not that there’s anything wrong with that. There’s a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating here with some particularly enticing spots on the street that look across to interesting shops on the other side of the road. There’s good service here too. I was greeted nicely, they started making my coffee immediately and it was delivered briskly with accompanying water. The long black I was served was very respectful. It was a most enjoyable brew. I’ll eat here next time I come.

The food is very good and the coffee is even better. friendliest staff and great ambience. i often come in the afternoon when it’s not too crowded.

Walked in as the owner was setting up, asked if they were right to make a coffee and he was happy to do so. Place was clean coffee was good and I loved the menu boards with coffee beans behind the glass. Only one thing annoyed me and it's the same problem I have everywhere I go, if I ask for an extra shot just do it please! I know how many shots are in each cup and I like my coffee strong. Will definitely go back.

Great coffe! Hard to find lactose free options that arent soy. But have now found my local and bonus it has great food coffe and very friendly staff.

Via Roma Caffe and Gelateria.. I have been going to Via Roma every day now for the last 7 Months. A very clean cafe. Awesome coffee and lunches and the freindliest and most accomodating staff. I'm always greeted with a smile. Keep the great work up guys and see you in the morning fo my usual!!!!

First impression of Via Roma was how clean the cafe was. Great service from friendly staff topped off a memorable lunch. The food was lovely, excellent value and the gelati left a great lemon taste. We'll be going again.

Friendly service, really good icecream, milkshakes and coffee are the best in the area. Wouldn't entirely Recomend it for lunch but it's still a great cafe

Convenient cafe, handy to bring my mum to be easier and if I don't have lunch on a Saturday, I can buy takeaway. Cafe is great and has multiple flavors ice-cream. Reguards Stephen. 🌯

It’s rlly good I actually just went there the food is good (recommend food: longuire quiche) and the staff are so funny they were fighting and they started laughing 😝 good for kids and vegiterian foods!! (Sorry if I misspelled any words I. Am only 10yrs old) but if you like delicious 😋 foods definitely come here is good I just finished a quiche and chocolate mud rolls. Sooo goooooood (better than Burger King/Hungry jacks

They are by far the best café in balwyn north. Great service, food and coffee I have been going there for the past two years every day and never been let down friendly staff and affordable prices. Highly recommend giving it a try
