*** REVIEW FOR THEIR SEMI-NEWISH CROWS NEST VENUE *** SAME MENU ****I wish I lived closer to Crows Nest because STUFFED BEAVER and I are a perfect match. It’s my kind of food porn. Beers, burgers, chili dogs, poutine, and all the greats of a good Canadian diner. And of course, MOON DOG in a tin. Come to Daddy!
Ah yes please. The Stuffed Beaver is a cool grungy dive bar in a sweet location. The guy behind the bar was so happy and friendly. I had a Bloody Mary, the chips and onion rings. The Bloody Mary was like a meal topped with pickles and the whole shabang. I enjoyed it. The fries and onion rings were so darn good. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would definitely go back.
we actually visited the crows nest store. I got the john candy and BBQ wings. regret not making it a double but it needed so more sauce. loved the wings. so many young families with prams were here. super accommodating which was fantastic
A quaint and quirky Canadian-themed bar and restaurant in Bondi. A good selection of bar food —chips, burgers, wings, etc. The poutine was spot on! We also enjoyed the corn chips (funny). The owners have obviously gone the extra mile to make the food delicious.
So Sam and I were always going to @thestuffedbeaverbondi - then I realized they had a food challenge and shit escalated quickly 😆
Ultimate Beaver Eater challenge: double donald trump, lumberjack poutine, full serve of hot wings, frickles, a can of Coors and a maxibon 🍔🍟🐔🍦🍺
$50 if you fail - free feed and an epic shirt if you succeed! I had to beat the previous record of 21:08mins for success and stopped the clock at 8:59mins to cut the leaderboard by half!!! To ALL competitive eaters, this is one of the tastiest, most fun challenges I've done! Get in and have a crack. Thanks to the team for organising 👏
My sister took me here after raving about the food - she's a big fan of American / Canadian cuisine. The poutine is nice but I'm just not a big fan. The burgers are juicy. The staff are really friendly, love a chat!
Was so excited to try this place out. Definitely what I needed at the end of the coogee to bondi (yes I did it backwards). We ended up ordering WAYYY too much food but it was so worth it. Had the buffalo wings, fried pickles, poutine and a burger as well.
The buffalo wings were very well sauced already and wasn't overly spicy but still packed a punch and came with ranch sauce which was awesome. The poutine is amazing, as all poutine is. I wish more places in Sydney made them. I'd love to see a jumbo poutine on the menu one day as I could roll myself in it and eat it all day. I loved the atmosphere and decorations and the wait staff were super friendly! Was definitely worth it!
Poutine is one of my favourite foods and I'm so glad to have finally found a place which does them to my liking- lots and lots of cheese curd and lots and lots of gravy on crunchy chunky chips. The burgers here are also awesome and generously sized.
The Stuffed Beaver is definitely the place to go when you feel like getting stuffed with 'dam' delicious man-food. I'm not sure how Canadian this diner is, but who dam cares!? (ok I'll stop with the dam puns now) I went with a group of 6 and we luckily all fit in one of their booths.. 6 was a tight squeeze, even with some quite large bodies, so I was quite surprised we did end up fitting, I was expecting to sit across 2 booths after seeing the photos of the interior. The tightness didn't bother us as we were close friends, on the booths across from us along the right-hand side, are 2-person booths for more intimate dinners.
The food was outrageously excellent, and service was outstanding as well. Johnny and the gang do a great job with making dining at The Stuffed Beaver such an enjoyable and fun experience!
The Sup Dog ($10) was so good, I ate this all without leaving anything behind. Other stand outs were the Classic Poutine ($15) (you MUST order this when you visit this place, no question to it), the Hot Wings ($12) and Carne Nachos ($15).
Out of the cocktails I recommend the Stormy Jerry ($16), it was the table favourite and best spiced rum with ginger beer I've ever had. That drink along with some trivia games within the group (highlight was to name every Canadian celebrity we can on the top of our heads) certainly kept us going till the diner closed.
I'm eager beaver to come back here - Johnny has promised to add a Filipino addition to the menu soon - Adobo Tacos - I'll be definitely first in line if this does happen!! :D
