This sh** is boss. Literally eat the beef one daily. Literally everyday I put it in my mouth. Tastes pretty good. I'm an addict in general, and let's be honest, this place is one of my vices. I sometimes dream about it. The service is pretty good too, much better than China bar and d-house. Also the name is catchy, with a subtle quirk to it being 'dainty', I feel connected to the food. 11/10 <3
Amazing food!! Great atmosphere! Cumin Lamb is a must!!!
This is my go-to place for Sichuan hotpot in Melbourne. The food look and taste amazing. They are exactly like the photos displayed. So mouth-watering!
However, this place is quite on a pricey side and the price keeps going up but the food and service stay the same.
Good selection. Like that we can have our own pot of broth. Large space but the floors were rather oily and damp which we thought was actually quite hazardous in causing people to slip and spill. Very busy but staff were pretty attentive in flagging down.
Came here for a work dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the quality optionavsilable for hotpot. The sauces really complemented the flavor. Dishes were well presented. Overall an enjoyable night and definitely will come back
We went here for hot pot for several time and we enjoyed. The food was fresh and staffs were nicely. Additionally, it also baby-friendly restaurant. Recommended it
Had a great dinner here with my family. I particularly like the individual pots and u can choose up to 2 soup bases. Price is a little more expensive than other hot pot places however I find the food of a better quality . The spicy hotpot was abit too spicy for my liking but I still enjoyed it. Would recommend!
Been meaning to try Danity Sichuan earlier but never got the chance. Food was great and plated really nicely. Theres quite a large variety of sauces to choose from as well. Very nice for your traditional hot pot.
I've been coming here many times for years. Place is always hustling and bustling with people. I opt to go for dinner most of the time. I love the presentation and the waiters are always quick to get your orders, and stash away empty bowls. If you are not sure what to get, you can ask but don't be too surprised if they give the check list they gave in the first place... Basically, you just pick what you want to put/cook in your soup base and that's it. Lots of options and fresh too. The Barramundi bbq was good ( massive serving). There fried buns with that milk dip is to die for. The braised meats were ok. The soup base was good.
Lot's of condiments for your sauces. If you are unsure, do what the roman do and observe or you could just ask.
We came here to try the hot pot, the broth was just ok and not as tasting and amazing as what friends have been telling us. Service here was average and maybe back on a night they aren’t as busy.
Great place. Food was beautiful and fresh and beautifully presented and such a novel way to eat. Staff were friendly and efficient Well done. Will be back
First time here. Had fun on pre Mother’s Day dinner. Ordered too many things could not finish
Fresh Barramundi in chilli, Sichuan, pepper and cumin - The price of the fresh fish depends on the size. I requested the smallest size available for two person and the attendant came back to me , with the living fish trying to breathe in a net, for approval. Cost us $69 for the fish.
It was not very spicy, just about right. Absolutely amazing. Little oily though. 4.5/5.
Mushroom and Sichuan pepper hot pot ( pic not available) - They first told us that we have to order two hotpots for two people because I was ordering only one mini hotpot. I had to explain to first the attendant and then her boss that we are getting a whole fish dish and then just one hot pot is enough for us. The boss asked the chef and then they agreed.
I ordered vegetable platter and enoki mushroom for the hotpot, I received basket of mushrooms and enoki mushroom on side. If I knew that we will get just mushrooms for vegetable platter then I wouldn't have ordered enoki mushroom on side. We couldn't finish the mushrooms cause it was all to much. 3/5 for the hotpot.
Ambience and service - 4.5/5
A family friendly hot pot restaurant. The soup bases are so delicious and the soup ingredients are always fresh. We love the make-your-own dip bar, with a variety of sauce selections. Service is friendly and efficient. Although the ambience could be improved, this is our local go-to, for a refreshing Chinese hot pot experience.
Our favourite hotpot restaurant that makes cooking hotpot fun and tasty. Good prices for sliced meats, and a large range of meats, including fish, pork, lamb and beef. Great sweet treats like pumpkin cake and fried mantou with sweet dipping sauce. Doesn't seem to get too busy, but best to book - online or via phone. The hot soup is really spicy. Good range of dipping sauces.
Dainty Sichuan is not like your normal CBD hotpot. Dainty Sichuan is your traditional hotpot.
Perfect for chilly days and night.
Food was brilliant. It tasted amazing and loved and the layout of the restaurant.
Missed the five star mark as it's on the pricier side. Enoki mushrooms were around $10. Charged for sauce, $3 per person.
The total you see in the picture was around $150 give or take.
I would definitely come here again as the quality is brilliant. However, will cost you a fortune if came regularly.
Decent hotpot in Box Hill..service is good, selections are good too, fresh meat and veg, plenty of social distance too. Very clean and comfortable for a lunch.
Meat quality was good, quite expensive but it was definitely worth the money. Would recommend coming here once in a while. Customer service was also not bad, they help you clean up tables and refill hot water.
