Came here for the brisket croissant and it did not disappoint. The croissant was flaky on the exterior, albeit a little soggy on the inside because of the filling (it might have helped to toast it a little longer). The combination of brisket, mac & cheese, pecorino, chilli jam and fried egg was really delicious and melded well together, but I do wish the chilli jam was served warm and perhaps integrated into the rest of the dish. It was a little disconcerting when it was cold while the rest of the dish was hot. The brisket could also do with a little less salt, but overall, it was a great dish! The service was great too and I loved the ambience of the place.
Overall a pretty good experience from Freja’s. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would’ve like the chicken it be a bit crispier with a bit more sauce however, it was a pleasant dish. There was nice texture between all the elements on the plate and it was a nice portion too. I’d visit again!
Had a really nice breakfast at Freja’s this morning, I ordered the Atlantic salmon with roasted heirloom beetroot and almond + citrus which was very tasty. My friends ordered the waffles with ice cream and fruit and also the beef brisket croissant w macaroni. Place was super packed but service was reasonable and the food very nice.
Loved the coffee here served by beautiful friendly staff where dogs are made welcome. Great twist on my avocado dish too. Lots of chunky avo with earthy beets & pepper berry goats chevre. Delicately plated wirh a sprinkling of edible flowers, very pretty & Instagramable
Big fan of this place. I went last year and the food was amazing.

This is one of the few cafes that I could get good few selection of freshly squeezed juice which was great. Polite staff. Breakfast was really good. Ordered two meals with crispy bacon, one was perfect and crispy the other not, they took it back and brought it back it was still not anywhere near crispy. But other than that it was a good breakfast place and they serve brekkie til the afternoon which is good for a lazy Sunday.
Nice place for brekkie, ordered the eggs benny and loved the crispy streaky bacon! The salsa verde was very delicious. Their fresh juice is also very good, which I wished a lot more brekkie places would do aye. Would def come again!
Had a lovely breakfast recently. There seemed to be limited seating though and we had to wait a while for a table and were left to our own devices for 15 minutes and people who came after us were seated which was a bit annoying. Just simple miscommunication between staff no doubt however still a small slight.
The food was exceptional though and I couldn’t fault flavour or presentation so will surely be back.
Tasty food and lovely staff. I always have a good experience when I come to this cafe. They do get really busy, it can take up to 30m to get a seat but the staff are always really nice and you can grab a coffee to sip while you wait.
I totally loved this place, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, the service was friendly and the coffee was great, I can’t wait to go back- My new favourite in Wilston village!!
Excellent breakfast fare! A bit of a fine dining touch with the high class plating, high quality flavour profiles and textures. Loved every dish of the new menu. We had the mushrooms, donut and the peanut butter sweet thing I can’t remember it’s name. The coffee was also great - they even have V60 filters!

freja never fails to disappoint with every menu that they come up with! dishes are always so creative and unique i simply want to try EVERYTHING :-)
the coffee here is really good as well! i definitely will continue coming back!!

just tried the autumn 2019 menu and i was pleasantly surprised by the autumn gnocchi, which was really unique! the combination of chestnut and mushrooms were fantastic and the gnocchi was cooked perfectly as well!
we also ordered the hen’s nest, which comprises sweet potato rosti, fried chicken and a sunny side up egg. the chicken was on the dry side and rosti fell short of our expectations. overall, the individual components of the dish were fine but the combination didn’t very match very well and made the overall experience very heavy.
we also had the crumpet which was slightly on the doughy and tough side. the meringue and lemon curd were fantastic, but the orange jam had a very intense taste, garnering mix reviews from my group of my friends. some of us loved the sharp citrus taste while the rest of us felt like it overpowered the dish.
nevertheless, it was a great effort as usual, and i’ll still be back to try the other stuff on the menu! :-)
It is adorable, menu is somewhat creative and service is ok. Cake cabinet is cute but limited. Food was nice but not something I would crave daily. I definitely have too go back to try more. They have a croissant that would be a perfect hangover cure.
My wife and I visit this cafe as much as we can! The food is great and the staff is super friendly. The finer details of these dishes are mind-blowing. Highly recommended.
Busy cafe with interesting brunch menu. If you don’t arrive early enough it is likely you’ll have to wait. Food was really good with lots to choose from. They could potentially rework the seating area to accommodate more people. I’d like to try other things on the menu so we’ll be back. The croissant special was a stand out.
Being situated near 2-3 very well established cafes they have their work cut out. But without a doubt they are up to the task by breathing life back into classic dishes using fresh local produce and adding a twist. What we loved the most is the customer service, they really are customer focused, which was refreshing to see for Brisbane hospitality. Establishments will always make mistakes now and then but it's how they react and solve the issues, that's how you win customers over. Great coffee, great food (try the baked goods!), great presentation, amazing service. Recommend.
It's nice to see Brisbane upping it's game with little gems like this popping up in the burbs. I really enjoyed the coffee, it was very smooth and easy to drink. Food was also very tasty and atmosphere was great.
The food is amazing and have never had a bad meal. Coffee is always good and can't wait for them to get filter options!
