Had lunch yesterday (saturday)....We both had fish of the day which was flathead fillets with chips and salad....Such an easy dish...yes????Nooo??? Well it was superb....Crumbs on fish were lovely, service was magic....10 out of 10 well done...Alan Plummer
Major props for having their kitchen open and serving all-day breakfast at 3pm on a rainy Saturday! Service was good as well, prompt and friendly. The food was decent - we had a hearty Spanish omelette with sourdough (which was quite good) and the classic french toast with mixed fruits (the ratio of bread to fruits was a bit too high IMO). Reasonably priced, too.
We came here for dinner mid-week. The service was good, but the meal was only average. I had the thai chicken salad and the dressing was too heavy and didn't have a great balance of flavours. It also didn't taste particularly fresh. Good location and price.
Dropped in here for a late lunch just before closing and we were well liked after! We had to put in our orders rather quickly before the kitchen closed, but the waiter was was very courteous and didn't pressure us into a snap decision. She also kept our drinks coming despite our late coming. The food was delicious, simple steak sandwiches and chicken burgers (and there was even an amazing vegan salad) served with copious amounts of extremely good chips. Great value for money and awesome service, what more could you want for lunch?
A convenient lunch spot after a long day of shopping in the city. What caught my eye about this place is the open outdoor seating, including the various options of vegan and vegetarian foods. Seating is great with 360 views of the city itself. Our waitress was a plesant American lady with a great sense of humor.
I ordered the vegan bowl which I enjoyed - it was hearty with a good serve of colourful vegetables, however a tad heavy on the sauces. My partner ordered the t bone steak but it was very plain (also didn't look very appetizing) with lots of fat rather than actual meat. Side salad and chips were average (but this is usually the case, isn't it!).
I did like this little cafe but didn't love it. Not somewhere you'd go for a satisfying steak, not a place id personally think to pick but its good if your in the area and looking for vegetarian food.
My son and I ate here for a mid-week lunch. I ordered the BLT with fries. Oh my goodness, it was amazing. It was served on a delightful wooden board with the fries in a chip fryer bucket. The BLT was made on Turkish bread. It was absolutely loaded with ingredients: bacon, lettuce and tomato with a side of tomato sauce. I actually could not finish this as it was just so generous in portion size. The staff were friendly and prompt.
Looking forward to having more than a coffee here. The service was incredibly friendly and my coffee on the go was delicious ... And cheap! $3.50 for a small soy mocha - it has to be the most honest value in Brissie! See you again guys :)
Great spot for both breakfast and lunch. Tasty, healthy options at a reasonable price. I come here 3 times a week and everytime have had exceptional service from the manager Deon. Favorite items Paleo Breaky Bowl, 150gr Steak and Eggs or for lunch the occasional special the run the Crispy Skin Salmon is tasty as ever. Highly recommend if your after a quick easy feed or for a corporate meeting. Clean and well presented restaurant.
Cafe Brisbane is a nice place to go for lunch in the city. I would like to see some focaccia/sandwich options on their menu. The vegan super bowl was nice but I added chicken which I think was definitely needed.
one of the cafe opens on labour day.....and that day was Hoottttt...so we ordered an iced latte to cool ourselves down first. then sat there for a cheese plate.
Saw a person got a pork belly...that was huge and it smells good..maybe next time.
