We had the set menu for four people which was $75 with a choice of two meals from the list with rice, steamed vegetable with oyster sauce as standard.
Soup is an extra $5 for the table which is good value but we only knew about this half way through the meal. I would have gladly rounded the meal up to $80 and have the soup in there and has it served straight up.
Well we chose the Fried bean curd, mushrooms and vegetables. All components were very nice and fresh and not greasy.
The Steamed fish - perch was the other and cook steamed. It was tender in the middle and the flesh came off the bone. That’s 90% of the dish in terms of getting it right. The sauce was all light, with a sweetness and saltiness one expects
The other set dish was a platter of a choice of two of Bbq pork, roast duck and or rosy pork. We went for the first two. The duck was tender and very tasty with a slight crisp to the skin. The Bbq pork was so tender and juicy yet with a slight toasted outer. It’s probably the Bbq I’ve had in years , in fact many years.
Oh and the toilets were spotless. Not what I expect from BBQ joints.
Walked around and landed here on a Tuesday afternoon. Surprisingly the service was okay. They have some combo specials for lunch but we decided to go for the actual dishes on the main menu. Really nice crispy skin pork and Shandong chicken ! Recommended
Typical chinese BBQ restaurant except their soy sauce chicken is outstanding, better than any of the other places i've tried. The chicken is very tender and the skin is really soft and chewy. The chicken itself may be a bit bland but if you get takeaway they pour a pleasantly sweet and salty soy sauce which goes very well with the chicken. Their BBQ pork is well cooked too, good balance between meat and fat, also has a nice sweet salty flavour. The ambience of the restaurant itself is mediocre, not the worst but its not the best either
