Love this place! One of the funkiest bars in melbourne. Great atmosphere with the option of staying inside or outside. A great place to go after dinner downstairs at either village people or ichi ni nana without having to leave the premises. Food downstairs is amazing in either restaurant with a fusion of flavours and dishes. Highly recommend, never have i been disappointed here no have the numerous guests i have brought along with me.
I would highly recommend going to Upside Rooftop Bar, as it includes an amazing outdoor area which has exceptional views of the city. This place has a very up beat vibe to it with music played every Friday and Saturday nights. The cocktails are also amazing and reasonably priced. The staff are also very friendly, and will always remember you.
Michael and Linh were THE BEST hosts, thank you boys for being so lovely, happy, warm and accommodating! This place would be lost without you! Hope your being rewarded for your good work!

Love it , part of the same building as Village People and Ichi Ni (Fitzroy) , come up and enjoy the sun and view as well as the undercover bar area all drinks can be taken downstairs as well , try it before and after dinner.
Great place for a predinner drink before walking across to somewhere on smith st. Cool bar. Good drinks. The sign outside is placed above a kitchen door, funny, but easy to get in after meeting the chef.
I hosted an event at Upside recently and it was incredible! The venue is amazing, the food was amazing, the staff, drinks and everything else was also amazing! 10 out of 10 :)
Came here for a few drinks, and asked the bartender to make me a surprise cocktail (This is my signature move when flirting with attractive bartenders).
On this occasion, I got delicious slightly pink concoction of Umeshu / Yuzushu / Rose wine / Muddled strawberry, blueberry and lychee / Pineapple juice. It was sweet and refreshing. YUM! And most importantly, it was aptly name after Yours Truly (Coz I'm so sweet...and refreshing?)!
Lovely friendly service and a nice place. Gets a bit loud later on when the DJ starts spinning the tunes.
