This is it. This is the best banh mi in Melbourne. The bread is outstanding, almost flakey on the outside but tender inside. The fillings in the crispy pork roll are fresh and flavoured perfectly but the real winner is the addition of big croutons that soak up the generous amount of juices and become crispy flavour bombs. A touch pricey at $7.50, but it’s perfect.
BBQ Pork Roll/Banh Mi great tasting, pretty quick service, hand sanitiser available on the table if you require. Price now is $6 for most of the rolls with the exception of crispy pork roll which is $7.50. It is different from the menu pictures posted. Please take note!
Great Bahn mi and Bun bao, delish!
Fantastic bakery for other Viet foods, one of the places I stop by when visiting dad.in Footscray.
Love the banh mi here, always good quality and fresh, absolutely delicious.
My score 3.75 stars (worth a revisit). J got takeaway for dinner from here on Mon 16th Dec. Service really nice. No vego buns left unfortunately (about 5pm).
Pork bun ($3.50) – Humongous. Dough slightly dry in one bit, but rest nice and fluffy (had travelled TBF). Filling was like a solid chunk of roughly minced pork (slightly sweet and with food colouring), rather than the separate dark saucy roast pork I’m used to. It was interesting, but I wouldn’t have it again.
BBQ pork meatball Bahn Mi ($5.50) – Roll crisp and tasty. Meatballs moist and tasty, but too sweet for mine. No peanuts! I would try a different filling next time.
Tofu Bahn Mi ($5.50) – Tasty and J liked it quite a lot. The tofu was cut smaller than Nhu Lan and was less sweet (both good things). Another point of difference in the filling were some sort of crunchy croutons – interesting and enjoyable.
Hands down one of my favourite bahn mis in Melbourne. I don't know why, but something about their tofu roll is better than anywhere else's. The mayo makes it extra creamy and the marinade is great. Staff are also incredibly nice. Don't forget to suss the selection of packaged cakes and mock meats as well 🙌
We loved 😍
The banh mi rolls here are delicious. It’s a great quick and easy feed. Their break is baked fresh and they have a few different flavours of banh mis. My go to is the bbq chicken.
Definitely a must-visit everytime I'm in Footscray. They offer a lot of things from banh mi, pastries, and ready Vietnamese snacks and desserts. My favorite would be their chicken puff and sesame balls!
This is a busy bakery in the heart of Footscray's food precinct. It is always full of customers and service is very business like with little warmth but they get things done quickly. They have a variety of sweets in conjunction with the usual suspects - banh mi, spring rolls, fried chicken and pies. Highly recommended!
Went here after being previously disappointed at nhu lan a few doors down. In terms of meat quality I would say not the best, however salad ingredients were fresh af and the bread was nice aswell
