Wow! After the recent renovation, I just couldn't recognize it from the old store. Brightly lit and seatings are spacious. We ordered the crispy skin chicken maryland egg noodle soup and the stewed beef noodles. The beef noodles is delicious however the egg noodles soup is a bit salty. Minimum spending for EFTPOS is $15 with no surcharge on credit card.
The recent renovation has really made this place outstanding in looks. We caught glance of this place across the street and just HAD to look in as it really didn’t fit in with Footscray. Was very impressed and enjoyed the Pho. There was an extensive menu for those who don’t just want Pho. Tried the Grilled pork broken rice aswell which was great, however could do with more toppings! Otherwise great place, will be coming back due to the affordable price tag that comes with quality and good service.
Hopkins St is dotted with good Vietnamese restaurants, but Hien Vuong Pasteur still manages to shine. It provides a bright, modern dining experience while maintaining the feel of a welcoming family-run restaurant.
This place is one of the few I have found that sells bo kho, and in my view it is the star of the show. Following a recent tweak to the recipe, it is everything that bo kho should be: a fragrant soup with tender, flavoursome chunks of meat that fall readily off the bone.
The other items on the menu (including the pho) are also excellent, as one would hope and expect.
Finally, it should not go without mention that the service here is particularly friendly and good-natured.
This place has been recently refurbished which caught my eye.
The service needs some work and the pricing is roughly in line with the area.
I order the Pho with sliced beef and brisket.
The broth was flavourful and clean tasting.
The brisket was probably the star of it. Sliced thinly and slow cooked that it just fell apart in my mouth.
Probably one of the best Phos I have eaten.
The sides could probably look more fresh as the bean sprouts were limp looking.
Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to come here again, even with the other options in close vicinity.
We’ve been going here for many years now and they have never changed anything till now. The place got a face lift and it looks amazing! Might been hard to recognize now but they’ve really put themselves to be in the modern world! Don’t worry the food still taste the same, as amazing as it was before the renovations. I hope they do very well as I’ll be devastated if they left the west. Great place for a warm bowl of soup!
Was cold and tired and sick and this was the perfect place to go for a delicious veggie filled vegetarian pho! Very impressed. Staff are lovely too.
Love the bo Kho
It’s the best soup ever
This venue is very unassuming but has the the best food and the service is quick , polite and when coupled with good solid food , makes it a definite go to for a good prized meal
Ordered the combination beef pho and the chicken pho. Both came with a lot of meat and the broth was delicious, very flavoursome. Service was good and the food came out super quick.
We've been frequent diners in this unassuming restaurant in Footscray, which has served us well since our university days!
Our favourite here is the Grilled Chicken Pho. Also comes in Grilled Pork Pho.
The Chicken is marinated and grilled beautifully.
The Pho broth itself is deep and rich. Will be back here in winter :)
One of my top pho outlets in Melbourne. Food here is top notch - fresh, tasty and generous with the portions. Service is speedy. Very kid-friendly too.
Amazing experience!
Great portion, fresh noodles, great balanced taste, decent prices!!
🦐Spring rolls definitely handmade from the house which you wouldn’t wanna miss.
Stewed beef with rice noodles 100% memorable🍜 warm soup with wee bit spicy but ‘kickin it’ beef all AS ONE.( Shout out to it)
Proteins in the bowl are quite a amount.
Love it.
10/10 will comeback for more!!
Newest member of tenants on the busy Hopkins St serving vietnamese dishes. Although the place looks new from the outside, we felt like it wasn't taken care of properly resulting in a disappointing vibe when they can be so much more. The pho is tasty, clean broth although not as good as the other more famous ones along the same street. The combination rice has a strong tumeric flavour/smell compared to others but not in a bad way as it is still a great pork chop.

Pho is very tasted. Very fresh veggies and staff are very nice. Good o try.
The best Pho I've ever had! Very consistent with such a pure and rich broth. I've tried many different places over the years in Australia and Vietnam and Hien Vuong is the best, hands down.
9/10 $13.00 (S) Beef & Tripes Pho ... fresh, clear broth, rich in aniseed.
Very clean restaurant.
The Pho is delicious and the best Pho in the town. Highly recommend!
I always come here because they have the best rice noodles, great range of other dishes and friendly service. The renovated restaurant is nice to sit in too. Not noisy and very clean and comfortable.
Outstanding Food, taste very good, will definitely come back for ice coffee too
