Good dining experience and reasonably priced.
I met a friend for some long overdue catch-up and enjoyed a beer, warm sake, edamame, agadeshu, and a sushi deluxe platter (which comes in a ginormous sailing ship). Capped it off w/ fruit and ice cream. All up = $125.
Service was really good w/ attentive staff and fresh food. The edamame was good as was the agadeshu. The sushi platter wasn't bad but a bit disappointed in the selection and serving size. We paid the extra $ for salmon and tuna only and felt the portions could've been more generous.
I'd definitely give this restaurant another go, although might be more selective of any sushi/ sashimi selections before ordering.
Well worth the visit and recommend you give it a go too !
We had a delicious meal! This place is reasonably priced and we hd such a great dining experience we celebrated with a 300ml bottle of hot saki which was presented in a figurine that pours from the mouth! Definitely will come back again.
Food here is absolutely amazing!!! The food and the service everything's on point!!! It's just surprising how smooth every dish could go together from entree to desert. Highly recommend definitely worth to come down to Glen Huntly just to try out this! Btw it get's really busy at weekend make sure book a table in advance!
Our local Japanese only waking distance away. Too late (8pm) for us to dine-in with bub, so takeaway it was. We ordered a few rolls, mixed sashimi, gyoza, miso eggplant and teriyaki chicken. Sashimi was fresh ad tasty though some pieces weren't separated leading me to believe the knife was slightly blunt. Did I really care? No.
Eggplant, gyoza and chicken were great dishes. Presented really well too. The sushi rolls were ok. Too much rice and not enough filling.
Would i order the rolls again? Probably not. Would I go back, most definitely.
The sashimi is always fresh and tasty!! The staff are always ultra friendly. My favourite on the menu is their bean shoot salad, super light and fresh!
Great atmosphere and fresh produce. Wait staff are well trained and polite.
Food is good quality too. I enjoy the beef tataki, and sashimi. The cooked dishes are well balanced and tasty. Many japanese restaurants I've been to the cooked meals are quite sweet, but not here. Definitely a must try, good to go on weeknights when its a little less busy to avoid the wait and enjoy a plesant meal. š
Popped in for an early dinner. Love the late 80s, early 90s Japanese decor. It is all immaculately presented and clean. Friendly service, with our waitress wearing a traditional Japanese outfit. Her English wasn't great but we had no problems. Extensive menu with good vego and vegan options. Very reasonable prices. My vege bentoh was the best I've ever had, and all prepared fresh. Well priced alcoholic drinks. Just $5 for a glass of Japanese plum wine. Will definitely return. Note: $25 eftpos minimum. They also do take-away.
I love the beef Tataki and Nasu so much. All the source and food they make by themselves. I saw a lady is making Gyoza when I am waiting for take-away. Also, the sashimi is pretty fresh~~ ā¤ļø
Good restaurant, its Japanese food is affordable and the sashimi is really fresh. $25 is enough for one. Pancake is different with other restaurantsļ¼ but it's really delicious, so I recommend you to try it.
Have been going here for years and keep on returning, it's a really great cheap and cheerful suburban gem.Ā The staples for us are the gyoza, okonomiyaki and beef no tataki.Ā The katsu and tetsuta age are also really good.
Hidden suburban gem that's been there since 1987. Straightforward authentic Japanese, no steps to update cooking style and they do this very well. Very well priced including drinks list, Sapporo for $6! No split bills though
An amazing place for a date night!
The sashimi was delicious and the soy sauce came out in an adorable little tea pot.
The teriyaki chicken was delicious as well as our noodles.
The staff were friendly and the food came out quickly as well!
Iām excited to go back again and try more food on the menu
Cute, quaint little place. The owners are typically Japanese, very polite and lovely. Great for my kids too.
Would've given 5 but it's just a tad pricey (like all good Japanese places..)
Absolutely delicious food. Fantastic service. This is one I would definitely recommend. And such great value.
Quality and value for money Japanese cuisine..... a rare find indeed
