As always wonderful service snd waffles that were amazing . I very much enjoyed every meal that I have eaten there. The staff are very friendly and the menu has many choice with great variety.

Recommend ordering Atlantic Salmon Benedict, perfectly cooked, eye pleasure for sure as you can see in the picture.. so many options for vegetarians. Good sized meals .
Good for companies to have a meal together with their teammates . The manager was so lovely, we had called beforehand for booking and I joked around saying if we could get free deserts and he didn’t hesitate and offered us free desert. Great way to pull your customer so that they keep coming back to you.

Been here for many times and keep coming back. Everytime we came, we always greeted with warm welcome and beautiful smile. Fantastic service, friendly and lovely people. Coffee and hot chocolate is nice, food always very filling as it served in big portions. Good quality of food and cakes, just tried their fried brussel sprout and it becomes my favourite now!

This is a lovely tucked away brunch spot in Glen Iris, right next to Burwood Station. I have come to Golden Child a few times and always been really happy - service is great and food promptly served.
The first time I came here I got the Creme Brûlée French Toast (can’t remember exactly all the accompaniments). It was delicious and generous in portion size and will definitely suit those dessert lovers out there.
The second time I went I got the Zucchini, Corn and Halloumi Fritters with beetroot goats curd, avocado tomato salsa, kale, coriander and a poached egg. Absolutely delicious meal and I especially liked the beetroot goats curd. Only thing I would say is it might need an extra poached egg compared to the ratio of fritters (but that’s just me being picky!)
The menu has some of your usual favourite brunch meals but also some unique creations - so it’s sure to please everyone.
Tried the coffee and scones for a quick stop and it was very good! The scones were not dry and pair so well with the jam and cream 😍. The coffee was very delicious as well. Will be back to try some lunch menus!

Absolutely loved this place !!!! Went with my family and a friend. We ordered for a vegan burger, caramelised miso eggplant, fried Brussels sprouts and pumpkin Dukkah. Everything was just perfect. My favourite was fried Brussels sprout and salad it was fantastic. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations. The owner was extremely welcoming and made sure my family was comfortable and could enjoy our food. Definitely going back :)
Very very interested menu and uncommon. Yummy food so that we are coming back again and again. I am highly recommended you You to try food and coffee. It’s may not looks great but it has wonderful food. Good coffee too.
The place is very nice, staffs are very friendly, its the locals favourite!! I had the rosti benedict with smoked salmon, and it was so yummy! The potato rosti is a beaut, its crispy on the outside, nice tender and full of flavour inside, goes very well with the smoked salmon. Serving size is very generous, I had a good amount of salmon (even though I did not kinda expecting it), but I managed to finished the food as it was very tasty. As a desert, we had the creambulee, a little bit too sweet for me but if you’re a sweet tooth definitely yummy dish, it goes well with the Golden latte (one of their signature drink). As an overall, we really enjoy the brunch, will definitely come again next time to try the different dishes!
A stand out experience this morning - Golden Child have kicked it up a notch with new (outstanding and interesting) menu items and consistently quality service. And I must note that the coffee here is excellent
We had the miso eggplant, bircher, kids eggs. Hard to pick the high/low-lights as everything was on point. The only improvement opportunity- a dark hot chocy option on the menu would be a welcome addition
This is a hidden gem in a tranquil local community. Good coffee, service and staff is always attentive, food quality and tastes are always consistent and flavoursome. Food Presentation is always on point. Golden Child has now become our go to cafe.
Spotted this cute cafe when wandering to the station. So glad I stopped. My staple choice is Zuchinni fritters. These were the best I've ever had by far. Not only beautiful presentation but outstanding taste.
Lovely staff too which makes all the difference at times.

I got some takeaway food. Would have liked to get a coffee as I’ve heard it’s good but didn’t this time.
Ordered a chicken burger, beef burger and a breaky wrap. Not all for me. I barely finished the chicken burger, which was delicious. I quite like a crispy chicken burger with coleslaw. The paprika on the chips was an interesting change. All takeaway, because, well, we have to right now. Packed well and still hot when we ate 5 - 10 mins later.
I came here with my family the other day and it was fantastic. Staff were welcoming and there was plenty of outdoor seating, with a beautiful garden out the back. Each of us picked different items on the menu and they were all delicious! Highly recommend.
Posting this review before I’ve even seen or eaten my succulent meal. Absolutely stunning brunch. My favourite brunch ever. Would have stay immaculate vibes, service, food, atmosphere and cuteness. Best day ever.

Best porridge in this part of town! Great chai and my partner loved his pulled pork benedict. The potato rosti was hands down mouthwatering!
