Sir And Mlady Dine Out
+3.5
We felt like having a meaty meal for dinner, so we popped to Grill@Gordon. It is BYO and has no corkage charge which is a also nice touch. Sharing an entree we chose salt and pepper calamari. The salt and pepper calamari (being a bit of a favourite of ours) was nice and tender. The accompanying aioli certainly complimented it well. It was lovely dipping the tasty calamari into the very flavoursome aioli.

Ordered takeout but knowing how long ribs usually take, i wanted to know how long their turnaround is, seeing that the place wasnt busy though they had 1 large group settling in. 15 min wait turned out to be a 40 min wait. Inevitable comparison to hurricane surely ensues when it comes down to american style bbq ribs. Joint did not disappoint 😃. Both beef n porky ribs were well marinated, soft almost fall off the bone kind with enuf tendon to make each bite less boring. The only slight downside would be that both ribs needed a little more of their (secret?) sauce while being basted.
Return? Yes😃
Grill @ Gordon's website promises 'steak, seafood and ribs all grilled to perfection'. This matched perfectly with our strong craving for meat one evening before the theatre, so we journeyed to the lovely upper north shore to try it out. The menu at Grill @ Gordon is exactly what you would expect from a steakhouse, containing a sizeable range of meat options canvassing steaks, ribs, chicken, seafood and more. The first thing to note is that the serving sizes are quite substantial, which is always a great positive, and we left the meal feeling very satisfied!
